64 is exactly how many spaces are on the board 8 X 8 =64 So our little tour question is 64 characters long.

So, assuming that my program works properly, I got all the way to:
whereliethepawnliequeensofhis starting from the upper left corner before no discernable path existed. I didn't bother to check if the full knight's tour was solvable from that point, but it doesn't really matter since it was gramatically already extremely questionable. I also found wherelieneon which made me flash back to the intro sequence of Bioshock original, but sadly this route also failed to lead me anywhere. I strongly believe that the puzzle is going to start in the most logical place, i.e., the upper left, because they've been extraordinarily nice to us thus far in not making us jump through nasty hoops (bear in mind that the cipher was placed in alphabetical order around the lunchbox dials, when they could have easily moved the symbols around). However, I'm all ears for good evidence to the contrary. |

So following the redpawn/obsession question I can only find a few words, but none that completely fill the journey, I was off by 2 letters.
Words/phrases I found: Of His Feigned Antiquol Men |

Wow...I haven't been here for a while....Been trying to solve this one myself, but I've gotten stuck.=D The whole black/white grid.
I have a glass chessboard at home and some glass chess peices,so i wrote the letters on their corresponding squares with eraseable marker, and set up the board, but I've gotten stuck......I can't seem to figure out any pattern. On another note,I found an interesting poem.I'm not sure if anyone found and posted this yet,but it's called "A Boat Beneath a Summer Sky".I'll put it in a post under this one,but if it's already been posted on this thread,I'll delete it.Just thought I'd mention the similarities between it and Mark Meltzers current situation.=D (I know how to play chess, just not very well, and I neve rhave anyone to play with,so I lost interest about a year ago.=( But I've always tried to model puzzles out to solve them,so my glass chessboard is perfect. =D I'll leave the chess move scenarios to someone who's better at chess.) "A Boat Beneath a Sunny Sky".
A boat beneath a sunny sky, Lingering onward dreamily In an evening of July-- Children three that nestle near, Eager eye and willing ear, Pleased a simple tale to hear-- Long has paled that sunny sky: Echoes fade and memories die. Autumn frosts have slain July. Still she haunts me, phantomwise, Alice moving under skies Never seen by waking eyes. Children yet, the tale to hear, Eager eye and willing ear, Lovingly shall nestle near. In a Wonderland they lie, Dreaming as the days go by, Dreaming as the summers die: Ever drifting down the stream-- Lingering in the golden gleam-- Life, what is it but a dream? (The first letters in each line, going down, spells ALICE PLEASANCE LIDDELL.Just for the record.) Last edited by marsalawicklow : 1 Week Ago at 06:31 AM. |

Start from the question mark. Whats the reasoning for starting anywhere else???
So, from the question mark and working in a knights path, we've gotten: "The red pawn lies, but where lie the obsession? Feign . . . queens of his." "of his" are the last two words in this puzzle, because S only connects with I, and I only connects with H. F only connects with H and O, etc. Working backwards to figure out the rest Last edited by ZombieJennifer : 1 Week Ago at 06:41 AM. |
