I love it when I out tech someone and they quit the game and then send me a message calling me a cheat.

I out played [name withheld] and he said he was tired of cheat hacks ruining the game. I didn't realize beating someone to irrigation made me a cheat hack. It could have been because I chose irrigation as my third tech instead of my fifth like he did. That friendly hut that gave me pottery was handy too.

there are some real dorks out there. i had one guy who guarded his cap next to a hill with a single warrior. i took it with a warrior and galleon support. he proceeded to lose it because i broke the peace we had made. he spammed chat requests for the next 10 minutes until i could get a communications block to take hold. another guy, whose pikemen i was pummeling with bombers, called me a poor sport for letting the timer run to 45-60 seconds. i tried to explain that having 20 plus cities and combining bombers into wings from all parts of the globe takes time. he said he was quitting out of boredom....not because he was going to lose in 5 minutes. he then gave me a negative report and killed my rep since i just started playing on xbox. children.....at least they are good for rankings.

i was rome he was France, it was not a ranked game.. i created around 35 cities, he had only paris...he ended his turn after 1 sec every turn.. at one point decided to see paris, and he almost had the world bank finished, i didt even know.. decided to use a psy ring, and he messages me with so much cussing and anger, he tells me he had one more turn to finish it...

then i win my eco win..lol

Are you saying he collected 20K gold from Paris alone ? How many trade tiles can he have from a balanced city location, about 10, I guess with Courthouse. Even with EITC + Bank+ GE settled + democracy it could only get about 240g per turn. That would take more than 80 turns AFTER he setup all the infrastructure.

yes, he had a bank, collusses, east india, courthouse, literary every building, i obsoleted collusses fast though, he constructed east india, before i could..

well he had 2 cities, he had the 100g city, but i built like 5 cities around it, and it cultured flipped to my side.. his city was like 2-3 tiles away from paris..

but yea, he was really mad.. i had magna carta, and was just trying to culture out paris, and when i build my last city like 2 spaces away from paris, i see the world bank almost finish, and i freak out.. so i send spies, and you know the rest.....

certainly he can get more than 240 if the population is high enough. at that rate it would take a litlle more than 40 turns to get 20,000. then you need the production. with cash to rush a factory, iron mine, workshop, plus communism it wouldn't take long for 500 hammers. the whole key is getting a large food source to grow paris. i can't believe he didn't protect against spies. did he at least have 1? i stole 10,000 from a guy the other day with a coven of spies. he still beat me with a space win though.
