What I loved so much about the Fontaine battle

I adored the Fontaine battle simply because it wasn't that hard. Usually easy boss fights feel like a let down, but here I felt it was massively satisfying.

You're fighting a guy - Fontaine - who was a normal guy before he decided to splice the hell out of himself to make himself virtually indestructible and to give himself awesome plasmid powers. That's great, and he is more powerful than all the other enemies in the game, the only problem is, my character, by the time the battle occured, was simply miles stronger than him.

That's the exact reason why I loved the battle: it's technically fair. You spent the whole game splicing, he pumped gallons of ADAM into himself, so it's a one-on-one between the two spliced powerhouses of Rapture. Yet you, over the hours you've spent playing, have honed your character with tonics so you're actually resistant to his giant flame balls or ice streams; you're physically powerful with a massive health bar and SportBoost2 induced speed; and you have a full arsenal of weapons and plasmids to kick the living **** outta him. So you do just that - you kick the living **** out of him. And what a battle it is.

you're right! i also love the final battle! yes it is fair that you win! he doesn't know how to correctly use plasmids, he thought he was prepared to win but you are the one who survived trought the Rapture!

What would have been better

I enjoyed the battle, even though i had more bullets than i needed at the end, but i would have liked it more if fontaine had turned into his true form again for one last round.

i also liked the battle although i think it could have been a bit more difficult (maybe more adam to steal, more evasive and longer living fontaine).
until today, as i discovered that he cant be killed only using the wrench, which was almost my only weapon in the game until then. somehow frustrating if you think, "im gonna beat the **** out of fontaine although the wrench doesnt do much damage, but whatever, i'll do it!" so i used my weapons (had full ammo for every single weapon, quite boring if you search everywhere but cant collect anything because you have full money and ammo) and had a quite unsatisfying finish
