To be fair to halo, it did do one new thing that I think changed a number of shooters for the better - the regenerative shield.

at least thats the first time I ever saw it, and I loved it. Granted it wouldn't work for a game like bioshock, but for pure action oriented shooters I just love the ability to take a few hits and not worry about how far away the next health pack is, plus never getting to the point where you won the battle... but your health is so low you decide to reload etc. (For bioshock though I think a standard health system is the way to go since it adds to the fear and resource management, etc.)

Another thing that I think it was the first to do was the cooperative multiplayer, which if you ever played it was a TON of fun. A friend of mine came over and we tried it out, ended up beating the game!

great effort on the pictures.

it would work better if you had a scanner, but thanks for trying anyway

it is very cool, and finally confirms that the camera is indead the eighth weapon

Yeah, I'm still annoyed whenever a game uses the regenerating health system, they thank COD2.

On the one hand, hooray for awesome review!

On the other hand, I tend not to trust reviews too much after certain horrifically disappointing games got uber reviews everywhere.
