For some reason, I'm having the following RANDOM problem:

I have 6 slots available for plasmids. I had them mapped to numbers 1-6 (for corresponding plasmids 1-6.) But now, something has gone HORRIBLY, HORRIBLY WRONG.

When I switch-out a plasmid at a Gene Bank -- it randomly assigns it a value not corresponding to the plasmid number in the bank I drop it into -- e.g. I drop Security Bullseye into Plasmid Slot 1 and it appears as key "4" on my keyboard instead of key "1" -- even though key "4" is assigned to Plasmid Slot 1.

I've been scratching my head over this one. I have mapped/remapped to default choices but it still keeps doing this randomness even when I go back to the usual drfault F1-F6 banks of plasmids.

Anyone have a Xanax? Or how about some advice?

Thanks.

The plasmids are arranged in a "last one in" system of order.
Example;
I have 3 slots open for plasmids. I add fire, ice, and lightning in order, everything is fine. If I then swap out any plasmid the rest will move down the order. EG, 1 fire 2 ice 3 lightning / swap ice for dummy = 1 fire 2 lightning 3 dummy.

Do you get that?

I think I do but it sure seems confusing. So if I want to pre-plan my 6 plasmids -- for slot # 1 -- that's the last one I drop in?

Opposite. Last one will be the last number.

Shligaloe is right.

Start by having the one you want in F1 in the gene pool (or whatever). Then swap it with the one you want in F2, swap that in turn for the one you want at F3, then F4, then F5, and finally F6. Now, reguardless of whats in gene bank, or whats in number1/2/3...you'll have them in order.

Okay I'll try that out -- does that seem a bit complicated and strange to anyone? Isn't it easier to just have a slot corresponding to a static-mapped key?

yeah, it would be easyer to have it that way....but for whatever reason its not.

Its a bit confusing to explain, but im sure you'll understand and get the hang of it. Its al to do with the order you place them, rahter than where you place them.
