okay i bought they game today at 5pm and now i finished it :D i must say that it was good game, but too easy lol.. didnt die even once, got the "evil" ending :D

Took me 25 hours, I explored and savored every moment to my hearts content, thank god for being able to disable things such as quest arrows, item shimmering etc.

It probably took me 25 hours or so. A couple of nights and a long weekend (I don't get to play much during the week because I work). I took my time picked up ALMOST every diary (I wish there was a screen to show how many you had left to collect. I'm pretty sure it's less than 15) I just turned on the quest arrow and then went every other place and direction, then followed the quest arrow. Must say I loved the game. I just think the ending needed to be a bit longer and thoughtful after such a dense experience.

I've played about 20 hours (ish) and I'm just entering Point Prometheus...

But I just like exploring and soaking up the atmosphere and the style of the game, which are probably my favourite things about BioShock so far...

I THINK i clocked in about 12-14 hours in 4 consecutive days. I was pretty thorough during that time though, did lots of exploring and heard a lot of logs.

So yeah i believe that you can rush through the game in 8 hours, however, you'll probably miss out on a lot of the very delicate storyline...

For me 20 hours and finished i cant see how anyone can finish in 8 hours unless there married to the quest arrow (Or even have the quest arrow on) :rolleyes:

I dont doubt you finished in 8 hours, if you used the same plasmid and weapon strategy on easy or medium; but you missed half of the game. There is no way you got even close to all the diaries, tonics or plasmids. Not sure why people think rushing through a game is something to be proud of. It is like rushing through sex and it lasts less than 60 seconds, then later you brag to your friends about how quick you finished.

Yeah, the faster you go, the more you miss. I spent 23 hours (roughly) and when I was extracting music from the audio files on the PC version, I found numerous logs and things I missed. And I was *very* thorough. So I guarantee you Mr. 8 Hours there didn't experience like... half the game. But that's really a feature, not a flaw. Ken said many, many times that yeah, if you don't want to experience that part of the game, you're fully capable of just passing it on up. I can't imagine doing that myself, but to each his own.

I've been playing for 60 hours straight. I just got out of a plane crash, found an island and am waiting for the coast guard to show up. I don't see why people think this game is so great, it's been really boring. I'm hoping it picks up soon.

Try jumping around in one place to attract their attention quicker.

Yeah, I'd say around 20 hours or so. Had to explore every nook and cranny, and do all sorts of stuff from there on.

I didn't rush but I definitely didn't explore much, create much, research much, or find many plasmids or tonics...took me about 12 hours.
This time around I'm taking my time...it's so much more enjoyable as a casual game.

Yeah definitely FTW, I rushed around too much at first because I thought I would be attacked at every turn...which you often are...but if you take your time you find you creep up on people a lot more and it's overall more enjoyable.

Took me @ 25 hours. Searched everything and everyone. I did not die once, heh, that darn vita chamber kept bringing me back. Sure could use one of those when UT 3 comes out.
