I've been thinking about something. Are the Little Sisters tied to the pipes or can they be found elsewhere too? I mean, do they have other hiding places too? It would be reasonable.

the pipes are ventilation shafts, it makes sense for them to spend most of their time their, they can move without the risk of getting chopped to pieces by a splicer

I was wondering how graphic is it if you kill the little sisters for Adams? I was thinking that it would be disturbing if the life like depictions of the little sister girls are attackable/killable etc. Anyone know?

pretty sure a shotgun blast to the head of a splicer looks about the same as a shotgun blast to the head of a Little Sister, and yes you can attack them; in the E3 video (the long one) you actually see a little sister die, though I think it was unintentional

(when the splicer irritant makes the splicer attack the Big Daddy, the first attack by the splicer hits the little sister, killing it)

their wasnt any children in HL2 because no-one had been born for about 20 years because of the suppression field.

about it being illegal, you best look up the first amendment

It's just sketchy for the developers/publishers because that'll often cause the rating to go up a notch. Prey got some heat for the little ghost kids that you had to kill and the scenes where the little kids got munched (for example, when the little girl threw her brother onto the spike). Note that 2K was involved in Prey and hopefully they'll likewise not censor things like that - it really adds to the feeling that a place is just out of control.

Even more interesting, I think, is to know if the shying away from the hero after a "Big Daddy" is killed is a scripted event. Now, I'm not talking about her actually shying away in fright, of course that was triggered by the death of her protector. Rather, are her movements independent of the environment. If you watch the latest video the little sister moves a part of the environment when she backs away near the end. Can she do this anywhere or are these events scripted? The answer to that question, if it's non-scripted, would really impress me to length of character-specific movements they've implemented and the amount of interactivity of the environment.

Whaddya think?

Oh yeah, I'm soooo dying to play!

Ooooo, yeah. This is supposed to be one of those big moral questions, I think. Like if you killed the Little Sisters would you sacrifice your humanity to survive? I wonder if you could become like this straigt-up survivalist monster toward the end of the game and just not care anymore. Maybe feeling like humans are just another kind of monster anyway. Or there is no such thing as 'humanity.'
