tried everything.

new drivers, old drivers, running with -dx9, running without high detail shaders, reinstalling c++, updating direct x, reinstalling bioshock... blahhhhhhhhhh

still no love from the game =(

We can have a fresh look at the problem you are having. Can you explain in more detail the exact problem you are having with this game. Your title is "still crashing", which is very generic.

For example are you in a particular location when the crash happens?
Is it always this place, or is it happening only after 15 minutes of gameplay?
What do you see when the crash happens?
What do you hear when it happens?
Is there an exact error message, if so please copy and paste it. Thanks.

well...

i was initially crashing upon loading the medical pavilion. this was remedied by turning off high detail shaders.

now im crashing/locking 80% of the time by pressing (m) to go to map.

in addition im crashing/locking 100% of the time whenever i use a vending machine - or i try to hack a security bot.

oh and by the way... secuRom does use root kits - you fascists

oh sorry - didnt read the last q's......

i dont have time now to get the exact message - or the error code.

but it is the exact same message and code as other peoples where it says bioshock.exe has stopped working.

its like an application crash.

my crashes are frequent throughout the game,
they happen during the action it tis so lame.
The audio is horrible it cricks and it cracks,
when characters talk it snips and snaps.
When my character runs he does not stop when I say,
he constantly runs into gun-fire that way.
Crashes are horrible for I can not play,
maybe 2k will make a patch some day.
I tell you now I hope that day comes soon,
or else I will eat out my eyes with a spoon!
Maybe the game was rushed to the gate,
execs forcing release dates I truly hate.
If there is one thing I truly despise,
is CEO's launching a game full of lies!

I crash as well. Also on vista, and tried all that.

This game was supposed to be built for vista, with the dx10 effects and all. so could we please get a patch?

It wasn't "built for vista" , it was coded for Xbox360 and then reworked for PC and DX10 added. Under Vista use the "-DX9" shortcut command and install the latest DX9c package (Aug 07, yes even on vista).

Im having the same problem please help. Game crashes after about 10 minutes usually less anywhere in the game. I have seriously tried everthing on these forums including about 4 diff nvidia drivers, running in 2000 comp mode, disabling various graphics options, Got no other processes running and my rig is set up good PLease Help
