It Just Isn't Fair

BioShock is one of the best first person shooters I have seen in years, but I bought a 60g PS3 and then heard about BioShock and I well and "It Just Isn't Fair" because BioShock isn't on PS3. It looks like a really good game and i need it so all i have to say is that "It Just Isn't Fair". :mad:

Well, in these days there are hardly games, which attract people to certain plattforms. Most publishers go multiplattform.

PS3 has blockbusters like MGS 4 and Final Fantasy and Bioshock now remains to stay on the 360, that's the way it goes. I have no PS3 and would love to play FF XIII. But I am quite happy that there are some PS3- or 360-only games. It gives a plattform more identity. Without those games, both consoles just differ a bit in hardware and service.

You cant play every good game, that is unless you can afford every system.
As long as MGS4 is exclusive to PS3, 360 gamers will have the feeling envy towards that game. But there is no use feeling sad about it, because in the end we will all have good games.

well I get what your saying but like for games like saints row i dont want that crap coming to PS3 it ripped off my favorite series they chose the worst games to go to the opposite system most of the time.

I really want to play Ico, Ape Escape 2 and Shadow of the Colossus, but I've not yet owned a PS2.

Also, understand that the PS3 is relatively new. Hardly any game system has had an overwhelming amount of good games right after launch. It requires patience, which I understand is a very hard thing to have. The only thing that is getting me through the wait to Bioshock is talking to people about it.

The ps3 will blossom sooner or later man, just give it time, ps2 was a great system (Okami baby!). However, the 360 does rock out, and I'm glad I made it my choice from all the next gen consoles (regretting getting the Wii though).

In this business anything can happen, so it might come later for it!

Sometimes things aren't fair: The Abe's Oddessy series moved to Xbox. Burnout, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Katamari Damacy, Mass Effect, Halo 3 and Zelda don't have PC versions.

I have three choices, I can cry 'woe is me!' and cry myself to sleep at night, I can save up my cash and buy the plaforms and the games, or I can say to myself, 'you know what, I'm happy being an X gamer. OK, so I can't play Y, but look at all the awesome games I can play'

You have the same. The only one that isn't productive is the first. Moping around in forums for games that aren't on your platform doesn't help (OK, so I had one post on the ME forums).

Go join the Motor Storm forums, Assassin's Creed, R:FoM, and the like. Have fun, make friends, talk about what great games they will be. :)

I'm a proud owner of a xbox 360... The "console war" won't be won by the hardware but by the games they have to offer and right now i like what i'm seeing with the xbox. Microsoft seems to be doing a fine job in adding some "exclusives" for the 360 (Mass Effect, Alan Wake, Halo, Bioshock, etc. )

I wouldn't be surprised to see Bioshock come to PS3 6mo-12mo after it's released on PC/Xbox360. Companies like to keep "limited exclusivity" silent, so we really won't know either way (like Oblivion for example, or GTA3 last generation).

Even better chances if the PS3 starts selling better and 2K believes they can make a better profit porting it over. Though it probably won't run / look quite as good it should be close...if it comes :p.

But, don't hold out waiting for it; get it on PC ;).

I found out about it as soon as news was released about it. I already had a 360, and was extremely thankful that I had purchased one. In fact if I had not previously had a 360, I would have bought one SOLELY for BIOSHOCK!

yeah Bioshock was really what sold me on buying the 360 over the PS3, that and a great deal that Gamestop was having at the time. It does suck that it isn't being released on PS3 as well, but who knows Oblivion is making it to the 360 as well as Saint's Row.

360 Version would be better than a PS3 version if they did release it anyway, Every Multiplatform game is better on 360.

you are right... i read it some months ago at gamestar.de (german gaming-magazine) in this news (http://www.gamestar.de/news/pc/spiele/rollenspiel/mass_effect/1465590/mass_effect.html). it's german, but you can copy it in there (http://translate.google.com/translate_t) and understand at least something^^

In the April version of PC Zone they announce that BioShock is coming to PS3. This might not be true, but just putting that out there.

I really can't say I feel bad for this guy. He knew in advance before buying the PS3 that Bioshock would NOT be on it. He chose to buy the ps3 anyway.

If you can you should find a way to get both systems, as I am saving up to do. I've got the 360 and am working toward the PS3. Although I can understand that being an investment your not willing to make. If not that I would guess you have a P.C. maybe you can find a way to play it on that? Or just find a friend with a 360 and invite yourself over to play it.

Aye, I agree. I reckon the chance of seeing a PS3 release of Bioshock is there, even if it may be very slim at the moment.

The larger the potential audience is, the better.

I have been thinking this over and I guess the worlds game publishers have there own way with dealing with these type of problems I mean I am only one person that wants BioShock on the PS3:)

Why are you even on this forum. Bloody PS3 owners, seriously. Sure xbox 360's melt and have many issues but we get great games also. Don't post a forum whining that you can't get Bioshock because you own a PS3. Nobody want's to hear it. We're here to discuss what we're gonna do and such when WE GET THE GAME!

It's plenty fair, nearly all FPS's stay away from sony. Don't know why, it's kinda weird...wait wrong statement there's lots of shooters on the PS3. or are there? Man, I'm not sure, its just fair, alright.

I did that, well I took my PS3 back for a refund and bought a 8800GTX + Another 2GB of DDR2 and a 320GB hard drive for my downloads and iPod backup. :cool:

I can see this being released on PS3 next fall. PS3 has MGS4 and FF to look forward to, but in the new OXM on the rumor page; it says MGS4 is coming to the 360 a few months after the PS launch. Two different teams are working on the different platforms :D
