I just spotted another creature in Dark Corners.
As you progress through the game, at certain points the camera viewpoint changes from the protagonist's to that of some kind of entity that's following the protagonist around town via the rooftops.
When you get inside the Innsmouth Poorhouse one of these switches in viewpoint occurs and you see the window you're closest to through the eyes of whatever it is that's following the player. If, as soon as the viewpoint switches back to the player character, you walk straight to the nearest window and look through it, you see the creature jump down from the roof and disappear into the courtyard. It basically looks like a Deep One, but moves more like I'd expect a Nightgaunt to move.
