What's the deal with those occasional baddies that have a security bot following them around and they both have a sort of aura emanating from them? I assumed it meant they were linked; attack one and the other will respond as well. But then I attacked the bot following one and it said the bot was friendly to me and I shouldn't attack it. What the huh?

that's happened to me before, it says the bot is friendly to you, but has been hacked, kill the guy the bot gets deactivated, I'm pretty sure he set off your hacked camera nearby and then hacked a security bot

Amazingly, yes. Splicers can open up the back of a bot and move around some pipes, just like you. Whodathunkit?

The radio waves coming out of the splicer means that it is the sole owner of the bot.
