I got the game last Thursday, installed it with no problems but whenever I try and start the game I get a Blue-Screen crash and have to restart my computer. I've tried all sorts of different drivers, tried reinstalling the game but nothing works. Phoned the technical support who were no help at all - the only time I got through was on Thursday and they refused to help me because the game wasn't officially released in the UK. (Hardly my fault that play.com sent it to me early was it?) Every time I've tried to phone tech. support since then I'm left on hold for up to an hour and nobody ever answers. I've e-mailed 2K games but don't expect a reply.
So....it looks like that's it. I've been looking forward to this game for ages and it looks like I'm never going to get to play it. I'm absolutely furious at 2K, firstly for releasing an untested product with loads of problems and secondly for their complete lack of support.

I feel for you, And your a perfect example that 2K games doesn't give a monkeys about us, and that they will just take our money and that's it.
Can you be specific on the error your having, and what your System Specs are, because I have had problems with installing the game, but It runs perfectly for me, and My System is over 3 years old.
A long while ago, I had a problem with a blue screen crash (not with bioshock), and it was to do with the fact that I had Onboard sound, and a Sound Card, so it might not be something like that, but you never know with all the problems that this game has had so far.
So let the forum members help you, so give us specific details, and specs on your Machine, and maybe we can help? :)
Because it's a good game.

The blue-screen crash error I get is:
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent
damage to your computer
STOP: 0X0000008E (0XC0000005,0X89D523DE,0XAF0699E4,0X00000000)
My system specs are:
AMD Athlon 64 dual-core processor
2x GeForce 6600GS
2GB RAM
Soundblaster X-Fi sound card
I've tried the latest graphics card drivers and older drivers as well. I've also tried running the graphics cards in both SLI configuration and with just 1 card. I've also disabled the sound card and used onboard sound and the other way round and nothing has worked so far.

What programs are you running in the backgraund? Open MSCONFIG and try disabling everthing in startup tab. Restart and try the game.
AND
Does your motherboard have updated BIOS? Good luck

I've got pretty much the same specs (Except my cards are 2x 6600GT and I'm using onboard sound, oh and am using 64-bit windows xp) and I've managed to play the game without a hitch.

Well that sucks for you, but that blue screen of death looks like a hardware problem. So try running other games and see if the problem persists

Disable SLI if you are using. Update you DX to the August release. Or try these drivershttp://www.laptopvideo2go.com/ Dont forget about the inf file and copy it over to the laptops folder and override the current one in there.
