I don't know if anyone is having this problem, but I thought I would post it here instead of in a thread going on page after page.

I went, and purchased the game Tuesday, and installed it, patched it, and went through the usual routine of making sure everything on my computer was up to date. I have gotten the beta drivers, updated DirectX, scanned the computer for any spyware, and just did a few house cleaning things on the computer. Anything, and everything that came to mind to help run this game. I have had random crashes ever since I started playing it. Yes, it can be frustrating at times, but I was not deterred. As of yesterday morning I was playing the game, and finally completed the Cohan quest. After that I headed to the bathysphere, and turned around to save the game. I hit esc, and noticed it was taking awhile for the game to respond. After that I got the Windows has to close the game thing, and did so. This has happened often, but still, I keep playing. I restarted my computer, and wanted to keep going. I started to load the game, and nearly immediately after loading the game it gave me the Windows error message. I restarted the computer at least a dozen times, and have done anything and everything I can possible think of to try to fix it. I have even called tech support, but I recieved little to some assistance. I did unistall the game, and reinstall it without knowing, or hearing about anything that has taken place on the forums.

I am not here to complain, or trash BioShock or 2K. I am just here looking for help, because all I really want to do is beat the game. One thing I have noticed is that I read somewhere that every player will have a different experience, and will play the game differently. Though, it seems everyone is having their own problem with the game, and it is so widespread that it would make it difficult to tackle such a wide problem.

Computer specs

-AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2.01 GHz
-1 gig of ram
-GeForce 7950 GT 256 MB

This worked for me. For the INF update you'll have to get with AMD's/your board mfg site and download the correct one for your board.

Not to sound like a bubbling toothless herder, but I have no idea how to even go about doing that kind of thing. Is there any suggestions on how to do so?

Post what your configuration is (Manufacturers and components) and I'll post the links to the downloads. Most of the driver update have their own installers. All you have to do is click on the link to download and then doubleclick on what you downloaded.

Well, I hope this is it. What I found was that it says my mother board is a S-Series support AMD Socket AM2 M55SLI-S4 (rev.2.0). If there is anything else let me know. I'll PM ya my email address.

FYI here is the drivers page for your board. Bookmark it and keep an eye on it in the future. Driver updates are critical for new games.

Thank you for the help. I tried installing the Nforce, but something went wrong, and the computer crashed. I am still unfortunately having the same problems.
