Ok, we got the Splicers, the Big Daddies, those bad teleportation guys, wicked zombie doctors and some more enemies, we have seen so far.

But that's not that much. Imagine yourself: How could enemies in Bioshock look like, how did the Adam change them and how do they behave or attack? Just a little mind game. Maybe our ideas come close to what we'll see in the game.

It's so hard to say. If we could just peer into Ken's mind, we might have an idea, right?

I'm looking forward to seeing more content released for the game because the anticipation os building. :)

hmm i could think of some hyperactive engineers and some mechanical devices they built...

Rapture Tourist, I don't think you understand what the label "Splicer" means. All of the "traditional" enemies, such as the doctors, nurses, red-eyed guys, and anyone who is not a big daddy, little sister, or part of the security system. It's possible , perhaps likely, that there are enemies that we don't know about yet, but so far, those are the four divisions of enemies.
Also, I wouldn't call the Splicers "not much" because they can have any of the plasmids or weapons you can have and can have many different models with various accessories, such as hats, so I think they will be extremely varied both from a gameplay and graphical standpoint. I think BioShock will have some of the best enemies we've seen in a long time. That is just an opinion though.

Indeed. A 'splicer' is anyone who has altered themselves genetically (see gene splicing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gene_splicing)). Tehnically that would include you once you start using the plasmids, but as Rabid said, it's anyone other than the BDs, LSs, and the bots.

The 'wicked zombie doctor' may also be a teleport with the ability to crawl on the ceiling and shoot fireballs. You just won't know untill you fight them.

Not even thinking of trying to wheedle the final encounter if there even is one.

But since this game places the antagonists in ecological niches the better method might be to identify a new one.

So there are;
Protectors-Big Daddies, those kitbashed Security Drones to some extent
Aggressors-Splicers
Harvesters-Little Sisters

And finally the Passenger which is YOU the player who can emulate the three behavioral niches throughout play.

So we know of Andrew Ryan and his rival (whose name escapes me at the moment) whose ambitions created the friction that started the civil war. Might they not be Leaders?

How crazy would it be to play a mod where you were able to access the strange vacuum tube security net and lay your own sorts of plans and plots.

So it seems that the Splicers that randomly spawn, do so with varying plasmid powers and or weapons, as well as visual features correct?

I am not sure. I know that Ken has said the Splicers can have all of your power and that they have random skins. I would assume that all splicers spawning probably have random skins, but maybe not necessarily random powers (nothing has been said on this subject, so this is pure speculation). For example, I would not be surprised if different types of splicers were grouped according to location because I think it would be fair to assume that they are probably all different difficulties, but I would imagine the skins are purely random. Perhaps the skins are linked to location as well? Doctors in the medical pavillion for example? I don't know and I don't think this has been addressed. Hope this clarifies what I've been saying. Since this is as yet unknown, how do people think it should work?

Location based skins would make sense, but I expect you'd see some rouges as well. hopefully the way they look (skin, eyes, hair) gives you a good indication of their powers- before you charge into battle, you'll want to know if they're a teleport, or can fire bees.

For splicers... Take every very skilled person you've ever known, jack them up, make them look awesome and a$$kicking, and you have 'em. Give them some juiced up powers and you have other catergories. Then add in these all powerful creatures that could potentially kill you with one swing from their arms, add some crazies that can float, teleport, and shoot fireballs out of the air, spontaneously combust, etc. and you have doctors.

How much more could you want? That's plenty of hardcore gaming for me.

Ah ok, then I misunderstood something. But I generally meant how people/lifeforms (different kinds of splicers then) could be altered by Adam.

I just liked to focus on the outward appearence. Of course there is a big diversity of one single splicer because of different plasmids, but I thought of how they could look like and then what kind of plasmids for example might underline their character.

Well, atheletes may have bigger muscles, good speed and agility, and a great endurance, physicists could alter gravity or manipulate objects, pyrotechnics could have fireballs, and for people such as painters, musicians, writers, I have no idea in the slightest bit.

there probably will be a visual representation of some of the plasmids if you look just right, i.e. the electro shock plasmids would make them have the veins one or both of their arms be glowing; the bees would probably make their arm pretty hole-y and kinda like chitin; the icicle plasmid would make their entire arm blue and frozen; the pyrokinesis probably makes their arm reddish; ect...

That would be cool if they was another protecter, but it is a splicer who attacks you if you try to touch its pile of stuff, like a crazy guy or something. He would probly have levitation and attack you with heavy junk.

It would have probably just confused things, or made for a tacky game but in Arcadia I was expecting some kind of Adam enhanced animal to come running out.
