Wheres the Metal Case Levine mentioned in Major Nelson

so i had only ordered the regular version, but after hearing Levines interview on the major nelson podcast last week stating there was a metal case, i changed my preorder to the LE edition, yet i open up the box, no metal case. i could care less about the other extras, i'm just a sucker for the metal cases lol

anyways, where is it?

im from uk and just ordered the standard edition from gameplay £24.99, but the description states: limited edition steel case

so i dont know if it will be a case like stalker came with, or a typo.
but the other one for £40 is the special with big daddy.

yea, i was kinda expecting more from the limited edition than what i got, the figurine is cool and all but other than that, i feel like i got ripped off, i've seen home movies that are better then the DVD extras, and that EP was complete garbage

a metal case although nothing special, would have made getting the limited edition a lot more worth while

i understand that, and see that now, after i purchased it. what i'm saying, is that Levine said in an american interview, the Limited Edition in the US would have a metal case. thats all.

The LTD Edition TIN version is the REGULAR game but in a TIN I believe this is for the Xbox 360 version only and is NOT available in the USA/CAN only in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

The Collectors Edition which has the figurine is available in ALL regions, the USA/CAN version does NOT contain a TIN case, this is exclusive for Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

USA/CAN get a Limited Edition in a plastic case with 2 discs that has some sound tracks and other content.

i understand this, but when Levine says it will be there, i expect it to be there. thats the problem. so where is it for us in the USA, i mean, don't tell us it's available and then pull a bait and switch, i changed my preorder and paid more because i heard him say a week before release it would be here for us. so just like they are replacing figurines that are broken, they need to provide us with the metal case as well.

I kept thinking b+s too but that involves saying you're out of the advertised item but a similar more expensive one is available. There was a smoke screen of either confusion or deception involved in the sale of this product. The customers pay the price with a less than special edition and the company loses business by damaged reputation.

I am now thinking rationally of filing a complaint with the ftc thank you mr bubblez... seeing as how people were promised things in print (the soundtrack) and were given a big moby FU... thanks for your thoughts..

the only reason i changed my preorder 1 week before, was because of k. levines interview, him telling major nelson what we were getting, and i buy it and it doesn't contain the 1 thing i personally paid $10 more for. to me, thats bait and switch. does it change my game experience, no, but i want what i spent my money on!
