I know others are having problems with the pc version of the game, and mine case is not different.
I can't seem to get past the opening sequence (coming up from the water and seeing the splicer) without the game freezing or catching.
I updated to the newest drivers released by Nvidia last night. I have also turned down all settings to Medium from High. I'm not sure if I should mess with the more specific options such as Vsync and shadows...
As far as system specs go:
AMD 64 X2 Dual 3800+
1GB Ram
7800gt
Any help would be appreciated!

I'm running XP
I know I don't have the most current GFX card, nor do I have the standard 2gb of ram, but I should still be able to run this...no?

I read something about the AMD x2 fix or patch or something like that. It was included with the demo I think. Check the game folders?

Hey,
I didn't have this problem before I update my Nvidia drivers. However, as soon as I did update them to these new beta drivers I had the exact same problem as you.
I don't know if this will work for you, but perhaps try un installing those new updates and trying again?
At the moment I've uninstalled the PC Demo until the full game comes out for me in Europe so I can't see if my theory would work. I just know it was working and now it isn't ;).

I checked the files that came with the demo and I noticed this "Twin Core fix".. I installed it and as I restarted my PC I kept on getting fatal errors. Safe Mode - uninstall fixed it so I don't think it's those files.
Hope I helped at all,
