Greetz to all Bioshock fans around the globe :)
I´m zyklop from Germany, since last year we´re running a Bioshock fansite in German and English.
Visit us at www.bio-shock.com or www.bio-shock.de and choose your prefered language on the upper right side.
The site is realized with the e107 CMS, we´re also using Joomla for our other sites in the globalgameport-network.
Are there any other foreign Bioshock-teams ?
Contact us and we will be happy to talk about a partnership. ;)

Not sure whether should I look at this thread as "Are there any other foreign Bioshock-teams?" or "Where are you from?" Going for the later, I'm from Poland. Greetings.

I'm from India, spreading the BioShock goodness wherever I can, even going to great lengths to actually write a big preview of the game for a local gaming publication here. Just can't wait to get my hands on the game.

Mate, reckon you could hook me up with a copy? ;)
Sure, just come over and pick it up ;)
Wow, lot's of people from Europe here. I'm glad the release is going to be more-or-less simultaneous with the US.

I don't understand the use of foreign here either. It's a relative term, could mean culturally different from the west, or as I assume just not from NorthAm.

Perhaps foreign just means someone who doesn't play in the world series :p

Does English count as being foreign in this crazy American world? :) Hehe. Well, I'm from the Chicago Illinois, USA. So, I guess that makes me foreign to everyone else, even the nice English people. :)
*Shrugs* They probably mean people that aren't American. Strange how that works, since the US is mostly made up of people (or descendants) not native to it. Unless they mean foreign to the Earth? But that another story... :D

Yes, foreign means outside the US in this case. :) Or maybe people with other native languages than English.

It seems the (vocal) Americans might beoutnumbered by the (vocal) Europeans on this board, currently.
I'm Dutch/from the Netherlands.
On every forum there seems to be a "piet" and unless he's an Afrikaner, there's only one other option as to where he comes from. Saying a "piet" is Dutch is kind of "Double Dutch";)

Stalker is from the Ukraine... it's very similar, but not the same ;) i do understand a little (i'm able to speak czech). there's a certain rule of thumb: the farther a slavic country is, the worser gets the understanding ;)

P.S. Why french tart (if you're from the U.K.)?
It was an odd nickname when I was about 13/15 and as a random thing I registered it on some of my first community sites...It's stuck with me ever since. It's got it's advantages and disadvantages. The amount of attention I sometimes get from very disturbing men can be amusing. Especially when I reveal that I'm male :)

oh well...you've just successfully discouraged this very disturbing man from trying to flirt with you. ;)
Edit: Because of the 'male' thing. Please understand I hold nothing against french tarts (although sometimes I wish I could (wehay;))).

Foreign to where? The net should be neutral. I am British but does that really matter when I am represented by a group of pixels on someones screen?
Of course in the real world we get screwed over compared to the yanks with regard to release dates, availability and most importantly price.

Besides the others that replied, I'm here.
As mentioned in the post above, no one seemed to define what "foreign" meant in the context of a forum accessible by everyone around the globe. Just foreign to the developers, foreign to the US, foreign to first language, English-speaking countries, what?
That makes me the second Aussie : ), but we can't say that we're foreign can we? After all parts of the game was developed in Australia.
Half-natives : )
