tech help with Prey?!? dll error

I just bought the game, installation seemed to go okay~ but the game won't start and I get a box noting dll error:

ERROR: DLL extraction to fs_savepath failed

Anyone know how I can get past this (or fix it?)~

This is just an FYI to anyone else who may try to play Doom 3, Prey, or Quake 4 in Vista. You will be able install the games just fine, but when you click on the executable it will crash with a bluescreen that says "DLL extraction to fs_savepath failed". The workaround for this is to right-click on the executable and click "Run as Administrator".

This is for anybody who gets this problem in the future, I was confused for a good hour or so trying to find a solution.

Yep, that did it~ this is the first older game that I had trouble with.. and I normally don't google for game stuff, figure the forums are the quickest way to find help. Next time, I'll try the google first~

Okay, I must be an IDIOT! I started the game, thought I'd test out the items in the bar, played with jute box, then clicked on one of the game consoles, now I can't MOVE! At the top of the screen is a button that says "empty" and RELEASE... which I figure is how you quit the console game, but I have no idea how to do that.. I checked all the key settings and went through the manual, no where do I see where it mentions this.
