Hey all - long time reader first time poster. Just wanted to say I've enjoyed the numerous interesting posts by everyone on this forum. I figured it was about time to throw some of my insight into the mix as well. I've probably played quite a few of you in the forum (ps3). My main is SeanGB75 and my alts all have the redruM suffixes. Anyway, nothing earth shattering to share right now but I'll post later. Lata.

On further reflection, it looks like the first part of your name is another sly reference, albeit with a missing letter. Or am I just reading into it??

welcome to the boards! :) glad to have anyone who likes the game and has nothing to do but read and talk about it. well, i have stuff to do, but i'll get to that later. maybe i should be studying for my exams, changing diapers, or get to working on that novel.

it's good to have more ps3 ppl here, there's a lot more xbox ppl here. if you haven't already, you might want to look into meeting up with some of the ps3 people from the boards, and see about getting an invite to the lobby on psn, if you want to play anyone from here online, that is.

Hmmmm.... I didn't know it myself. I guess the reference is much more intellectual and historically astute than what was obviously on my mind!!

But I agree with Grayson, it's very nice to see you on the boards. And I still like the redruM reference: very cool name overall.

Hi Zef - I try to stick to playing 1 civ per name account so what I've been doing is naming the first part after a god/deity of that civilization followed up by the redruM suffix that you correctly identified as a reference to the Shining. This is my Egyptian account so I picked Anubis, the jackal-head messenger of death god :)

It worked out that my 4 fav civs actually has some god/deity lore (Egyptians/Russians/Japanese and Azteks). I'm screwed if I take up in interest in the English/Spanish/Americans etc...I'll have alot of peter paul and mary accounts.....wait is that a band...I was trying to name religious figures.

Hmmm, i'll take a stab, isn't Asmodeios a synonym for Asmodai which is a demon, something like the king of nine hells? Or am I way off? My second guess is it's the name of your pet parakeet.

or since you said there was a missing letter: Cannabis murder maybe? but then it'd be a few more missing letters and a misspelling.

Right on the money. It is just another spelling of that name. Others were already taken.

Demon of Wrath....also associated with lust.

In the Judeo-Christian tradition is also the demon in the "Seal of Solomon" that he bound to build the temple.

I usually assume most ppl don't care too much about spelling (from my experience of reading horrible student papers every year), so the latter would be correct. But Anubis defied my simple-minded prejudice, and chose a much more interesting name than I first presumed! Geesh... You guys with all of your religious (*Ahem*... Amazing Grayson), historical, and mythological references are making me feel pretty silly for going with "CupcakeZombies"!!

I don't care, I still think mine is the best. :p
