According to information from one of the sites, beta-test the game will start from 9 August 2009.

Christ, people, this is not a public beta test. 2K Czech are just HIRING some testers to EMPLOY them :rolleyes:.

I have no objection to be being paid to test Mafia 2 :D
I did H&D2 Sabre Squadron for free, so they owe me really :p

Does that qualify you in any way. I mean what do you have to do, just play every piece of that game and report all the bugs you find. Shouldn't be too hard.

And me hehe... i'm up for testing again too,
though they'll need to supply me with a damn good PC to test it on. :D
yeah, but you'll play in such a way that you cant enjoy the game, just finding bugs and glitches, trying to make a report, etc

was about it, we were only testing co-op multiplayer but would guess for something like Mafia 2 they're looking for full time testers, so it's not going to be something a bunch of fans can do.

Indeed, I'm just trying to avoid another misunderstanding :)
Fugue is right, this kind of professional testing is usually described as a hell of a work - as a tester, you have a huge influence on the final look of the game after all, so no wonder you have to push yourself to excellence on every tested pixel of the game :-D.
