Ok I have bought Bioshock 1 for the first time about a month ago as I have just got enough money to buy a XBOX 360 arcade as I am more into the computer but thought I would give the xbox 360 a go.
So far, my experience with the XBOX 360 arcade has been a positive one with my long lost memories of the PS2 coming back!! I have bought only a couple games including halo 3 and 1 which work like a dream for the xbox 360 however here comes the problem...
Bioshock by far out my favouriate game on the xbox 360 however has to be the most frustating game as well!!!!
I have only got to the second level and I have suffered freezing after freezing at random points but all involve fighting one of the monsters when I try to hit/shot back it freezes and does nothing until I manual restart the game.
Then when I try again it will some times freeze again or it will do it in few enemies times which becomes very annoying indeed.
Ok so now you know my problem I will explain what I have tried to solve it!
1) I started Bioshock WITHOUT the patch and it jammed within the first level when the fire couch gets pushed down the stairs and you have to kill that monster. Reloaded the game and tried again and jammed again, the only way was to run past the monster then carry on but it jammed again when I fought the next monster.
2) I then went and bought a new game and tried that but no luck jammed again a little while later.
3) Next I deleted every bioshock file and started again from the beginning got as far as the second level and then it jammed again.
4) Next thing I tried was removing my 20gb HDD which I read might help but again no luck.
5) I gave in and downloaded the patch that was recommended eventhough I had read many forums saying don't download it, after it download it ran smoothly until the level you have to find the doctor, the second level I believe and again jammed whilst I was fighting.
6) Again due to reading forums I tried holding the LB and RB to clear the cache when the games loads up and no luck keeps jamming at random spots whilst fighting.
As you can all see I have tried and tried again to fix this game but I am having no luck and its coming annoying really I really like this game and I want to play so bad because I can imagine this game will be a mind blowing game but I cant play the game if it keeps jamming on me meaning that I have to return it and get my money back.
Sorry for the long post but I really want to be able to play this game so any idea will be great the only one I don't really want to hear is that I should get a new XBOX 360 cos no matter how good the game is it not worth spending another £100 buying a new console (sorry)

p.s. if there has been a solution made on the forums which has helped someone with the same problem as mine, a link to this forum page will be great cos i cant find one on this forum as im quite new to forums so not sure how to search through them to find my problem it seems like look for a needle in a hay stack.
