If we're counting Irrational/Looking Glass titles as well as the licences 2K have now picked up etc. I'd say:
1. Mafia
2. SWAT
3. Civilization
4. System Shock
5. Thief
6. Bioshock
But my top ten lists do tend to change.

Deep beneath the cold, unforgiving surf of the ocean, there resides a city. A dystopian world, cast into war by power hungry tycoons and tyrants. Now, only insanity and death reign, and the world is slowly collapsing in on itself.
So yeah, I like Bioshock.

For me I would have to say MAFIA... I did enjoy bioshock but it was very overated imho, although BS 2 does look amazing and I can't wait for its release. But the first mafia game is hands down my fave game ever played. Than again you can ask this question after the release of the sequals and my answer may be different. My prediction is bioshock 2 will be better than the first, but mafia 2 will not. Not trying to knock anybody from 2k czech because the game looks amazing, but there first game was an absolute masterpiece which will be very hard to top

Hate to break this to you, but System Shock is not a 2K IP.
EA has the IP rights. I wish 2K did have the rights.

Anything by Firaxis that's under the 2K label. Gettysburg! and SMAC, and SimGolf(also by Firaxis) are fun, but EA published those.

Bioshock is deffinitely a favorite, but I also rather enjoyed THE DARKNESS :)

That is true, i did not know of it till way after it's release. But when I said it was over rated I meant, People were going on and on about how great it was. and when I picked it up and completed the game I was a little let down, because it didn't live up to all of the hype.
Upon my first play thru I found the game to be pretty short. Story was a bit confusing and lost me at times (played it a 2nd and 3rd time and can appreciate it now but after the first play thru I was like WTF just happened?!)
I'm in no way saying it was a bad game, I really did enjoy it, but I really don't think it was as great as everybody was saying or thinks it is. Although Bioshock 2 looks amazing and I will be picking it up the day of release :)

I actually agree with this. I have seen before someone saying that BS was "overrated" but I think that it was severely underrated until after it had been on the market for quite some time.
I mean, I am pretty up-to-date on video games and somehow BS managed to completely pass me by. People kept telling me it was amazing, but I think that the cover was very misleading for someone who had never played it before. I saw it 10,000 times in the store and never even considered picking it up because the cover made it look like some Mech Warriors clone.
I ONLY realized it was awesome when I finally decided to YouTube a clip of it and realized that it was quite possibly the coolest thing ever and not Mech Warriors at all. Ha.

Hype exists only BEFORE the actual release of the product being hyped up. After it's release, it's no longer hype. It's fact. 50 Game of The Year Awards reassure me of my conviction, too. People don't "think" it's great. They know it is. It's not anyone's fault that you couldn't comprehend the intricate plot on your first go. I'm assuming you went in Biased and probally expecting it to be like another regular, non-thinking game. No Sir. What is your basis for saying it's not as great as everyone THINKS it is? The terrible graphics? The dull and lifeless story? The scenario? God KNOWS we need more games on Land. There are so little of them. With all due respect, you remind me of a website that would be dedicated to bringing down any movie that exceeded expectations by finding every possible way of showing even the most opaque of flaws. I know this is a forum and I'm supposed to respect the opinions of others. Well this is MY opinion. Your logic BLOWS. You didn't even provide authentic information as to WHY it's "over-rated" besides your perspective of not being able to understand it on the first go. Hey, the game is straight forward. Uncondition your mind from games that dont allow any thinking ability and perhaps you'll appreciate it and understand it a lot more.
Enjoy the second game on the first day it comes out by the way...but it may not live up to it's "hype", keep that in mind.

You need to chill out dude, that is just my opinion of the game, for me it was not as great as everyone lead me to believe... That's all.
I didn't say I didn't enjoy the game. because I did. And For some reason If someone doesn't believe Bioshock was "The best game ever created" all of the Fanboys got to start insulting other people's opinions, and feel a need to put the person down. I respect everybody here, and everyone is not going to agree all of the time.
And as for all of the awards, You can take all of your awards, because all they are, are just opinions of other people.
And where do you get off putting words in my mouth about bad graphics or the story taking place underwater? I found the graphics to be quite fine and yes underwater is an excellent place for a story as oppose to another game on land. Oh and as for Authentic information as to what I didn't like about the game, how about the Extremely disappointing "Final Boss Fight" I beat this on the first try, barely losing any life.... way to easy for me, but some may disagree. I feel there could have been improvements to make Bioshock a bit better. Others can argue that comment.
So I guess all I am trying to say is, that is my opinion, and I respect anyone's right to disagree with it. But I would never put someone down because of their opinion, or state that there "Logic Blows" or even call them closed minded because their views differ from mine.
And I will Enjoy Bioshock 2 the day it comes out, as I have already Pre-ordered my copy. :p good day sir

I agree, and even if they have heard of it, it often gets looked over as just another game, when there's so much more to it than any other game I've played. I voted for Bioshock, because it is by far, one of the most beautiful, creative, inspirational, and meaningful things I have ever experienced.

Doesn't anyone recall ol' Uriel Septim and his babble mouth action in the beginning of that masterpiece?
Oh and a special note for eager fanboys; spare me your slings and arrows cause I don't prostrate myself at the mighty feet of Bioshock. It was a solid game, but it wasn't 2K's magnum opus.

and @PonyTailGuy: I would say that would be more of a Bethesda/Bethsoft game rather than one 2k can claim. Sure 2k Published it, but they didn't necessarily make it.

Seriously this is the only game i can play everyday and not get tired of it,it has very good replay value and great narrative,what more can you ask for?
