There's this excellent road-side greasy spoon round the corner from where I work. We've become Pie & Chips regulars, and as a result, I'm become a bit of a podger :(

I've seen pie and cookie threads on every english speaking forum I've been on. What's up with that ? Is it some kind of an american cultural thing ? Or worse ? ;)
Where I come from they don't even have the term. They just bake cakes. Some of them taste like apples, some like cherries... but no one is obsessing about them.

i like apple and apricot and meat pie (the ingredients arent all in the same pie base by the way :p)

its probably an american thing with the sex-related stuff, but here in australia it's like a humorous, meaningless conversation starter, similar to "so, do you like... stuff?" (which could probably be taken as "so, are you addicted to any particular drug? like cocaine or weed?")
