Hi guys ,
i just want to mention that i didn't like the Red Fade when you git hit by a bullet , i don't know why but it seemed too generic , cold , i don't feel the pain of the character, and really it get worse when it repeated ..
Developers please check it again and see whats wrong about it and how to improve it ... or maybe its only me ..
i know its my 1st thread but i couldn't resist ,, i am huge fan of this game and i liked the previous one ..

I don't see a problem with it, no offence but the only way to really feel the pain of the character is to get shot exactley how Vito did.

the fade might be really distracting meanwhile the fight and I'm also not fan of it. In Mafia I Tommy was also getting shot realistically without the fade.

if they're going to use that system would rather it was a combo of Mafia and others, so instead of the whole screen fading have Mafia 1 style "splats" on the screen and maybe a short audible increase in heart rate to let you know you need to take cover.
about the Red Fade
maybe it will work in the game but from the video for me it didnt!
Why? because when the Red Fade appered you couldnt se the enemies anymore!
but as i meantion maybe its only the video.

You can't see them also in mafia 1 when you activate blood at max because of the ''splats''.
Ohh really!
well i dont remember on what level my options where put at! but i think there where on max!
but the bloood splashes only accoured when you got hit on the head OR geting hit badly.well correct me if im wong

No it happened when you got shot at any part of the body, xila is right...
Well my answer were more refer to Fugue than you because he said that those splats will be some kinda better. I'm sure that 2K will have better solution at the end.
And by the way those splats were randomly appeared on screen when you got hit, sometimes in middle of crosshair,AI so that you can't see him.
Anyway in the end is better without those splats because there is blood even if level of blood not turn on. If you turn on that level of blood is only that splats which gameplaywise is better without them.

the fade might be really distracting.
That's the whole point. Don't you think you would be a little "distracted" in real life if you got shot?

haha ... I do believe that they, the developers, would be, very, wise to incorporate both elements--as fire and damage indicators. The "blood splat" technique, as in Mafia, was very innovative, and remains uniquely so. I would like to see that moved forward as the new standard in the gaming industry.
