hunting down the big daddys

since bioshock is an open world do you have to hunt down every single big daddy or will you find all of them through the story?

Since the Big Daddies wander around with their little sister in a non-scripted way, you will probably see all of the Big Daddies during your first playthrough, assuming you like to explore.

Hunting them will be very non-linear though, from what I've read. The trick is making sure the conditions to defeat them are all set up beforehand, so you'll be clearing a room of enemies, hacking bots, and setting traps before engaging.

I'm sure there are more Big Daddies than Little Sisters. You only want to go after the Little Sisters, and don't have to effect any of them at all. But why would you want to?

On each level, when you press start, it will tell you how many LS are left on the current level. LS lead to Big Daddies, and vice versa; so you have a pretty good idea how to go about this.

No, it seems to only say how many Little Sisters.
If you had three big daddies and three little sisters, how long do you think would it take for a Big Daddy to just happen to come along and retreive a Little Sister and have her walking around long enough for you to find them. :p

At least I hope that there are more Big Daddies, otherwise you'd be screwed if you had one fight another.

Also, they have large amounts of money on them, so that's always nice. ;)

Big as they are, the Daddys seem just as capable of stealth as action.

In a way you do have to Hunt Them Down Because they are Roaming AI's

Yeah thats the one. I didnt see the Big Daddy in the rafters at all until he charged

The video after the demo ends pretty much answered it. Two big daddy's right next eachother

Weird little factoid: The BD in that little action scene used to have a different type of drill. It was X shaped, and made the scene look a lot more... disgusting...
