[Goddy Of War]

I just thought i'd make an interesting topic about the two Audio recordings found in the demo. I've spiler highlighted them so that anybody who hasn't heard them yet won't have their experience ruined:

The Audio recording from the Kashmir Restaraunt features a woman. She speaks about how she is alone on New Years Eve again, and begins to go on a rant about her predicament (features background noise of the celebrations). Suddenly, what sounds like a mob bombs the party, and this woman (she has a name but I forget it) says she is bleeding. The recording then cuts out with sounds of screaming in the background.

The second Audio recording is a Man. He is also on a rant about a woman (related to him?) and speaks about her taking "a huge ****". He mixes it up with British slang and continues on with hilarious details :D . The end of the recording I have forgotten unfortunately but it is there for anybody to listen to.

erm....i dont know what too say they do a lot of atmosphere to the game especailly if you leave them playing while your still exploring

Yeah the first recording...I think she says something about being Andrew Ryan's wife or girlfriend...but he is always working, so once again she is left alone...then all the screaming starts

if you listen closely to the first recording you hear in the background from one of
the people causing the trouble "long live atlas". i think this could be a very big plot givaway. i was thinking that maybe atlas was the leader of a revolution or something.

He was. Atlas led the revolution against Ryan which is what started the entire war.

yeah...theres the recording where

she says something like " and the award for the dumbest person in rapture goes to Diane McClitton (sp) for falling in love with Andrew Ryan."... and then she starts bleeding..maybe she dies?..that could have something to do with the plot..

I think atlas has something major to do with the plot..i doubt he'll just be your guide the whole way through.

I'm betting Atlas plays a similar role to Polito in System Shock 2.

For anyone who hasn't played SS2 and wants a spoiler:
Polito turned out to be Shodan in disguise. she guids you as a friend for the first quarter of the game, and when you finally make it to her, you find her slouched over in a chair, dead from a self inflicted bullet wound to the head. Suddenly, the walls of the room disappear and Shodan is there.

did anyone notice the decline of rapture took place on new years 1959 at a masquerade ball thats why they have masks on something happen then a revolt lead maybe atlas?

and also this is a big one but just a theory that atlas is the bad guy because at the part were your coming down he says to johnny get there quick the splicers are coming and johnny "says how do you know that?" he did lead a revolt of possible splicers mabey he controls them

While I have no clue if Atlas is trustworthy or not, in this instance, I think he just assumed he wasn't the only one to notice the bathysphere.
