Hard Mode Possible in Demo?

I have my game defaults set to hard mode. When I loaded the demo, and got to the difficulty screen, I noticed that hard mode may have been disabled, but it was highlighted. So instead of moving to easy or normal I just hit A. I noticed the game was harder. Please if anyone can confirm, do so.

I played on Medium and it was reasonably challenging. I got a taste of hacking (which is awesome :D )

the splicers with guns take a hell of a lot of punishment compared to melee ones that can be killed in 2 or 3 shots

Yeah...i've not died yet...it's pretty easy, even on medium mode.

But you do go through quite alot of health packs though =P

I died once on medium (damn you Security Camera) then I survived can anyone tell me how to put it on Hard and it's easy since its modified (yes Irrational ((i know it's 2K Boston now)) is a developer who makes their demo different) and its the effing first section

Hard mode is disabled unless you have your game defaults set to hard mode. I found this on a site...

"To enable hard go to your gamer profile in the dashboard and then change your default game settings. Go to general, then change your difficulty to hard.

Start up the Bioshock Demo.

Hard should be highlighted when you have the option to select your difficulty. Make sure not to move the cursor or you will not be able to select hard again unless you hit B and then return.

Hit A."

Yeah...its better on hard...you can't always kill people with the 1 2 combo (electrobolt then wrench) it takes a few more hits.

Excellent, will try this when I get home.. had it on medium, and had was so enjoying the way splicers lit up when I electrocuted the water they jumped in.

I tried it on hard after I finished it on medium. I didn't die once in medium, but in hard, when the security bots came and all the splicers started attacking, I got smoked quick. Have to say though, I had more fun with hard than medium.

Yes it works, i have tried it and people have mentioned it on the official xbox forums.

I played the demo 3 times (once on each difficulty) and I didn't die at all. I noticed the hard mode throws a lot more enemies at you in the end and on Easy mode you get a lot more ammo for your weapons since ammo is scattered around the place.

I thought it would unlock after I beat Medium, but it didn't. Oh well, we only have to wait 8 more days. :D
