20,000 Gold but World Bank not appearing on Wonders list

Hi, I'm on xbox 360 and so far have just play SP...

The first time it happened I thought maybe I had just done something wrong...

But again last night it happened. I reached 20,000 Gold and the lady came onscreen saying 'you may now build the World Bank and achieve Economic Victory'...

But the World Bank DID NOT come up in my list of Wonders. So I couldn't select it and couldn't build it.

Am I missing something or is this just some sort of glitch?

If you mean it didn't show up immediately, it won't. It will show up on the next turn. Also, if you have a long list of unbuilt wonders, it may be at the end and you will need to scroll down to see it.

Thanks for replying. Sadly, neither of those reasons was the case. I had built all the Wonders and it (World Bank) failed to show up for however many turns I played beyond that.

The thing is, it only happens some of the time.

Is there anything you can do to 'repair' a glitch like this? My friend said something about downloading a patch...

There is a patch, version 1.3. It's easy to tell if you have 1.3 because it'll tell you on the menu screen. If there's no version number, you have an earlier one.

If you're connected to xbox live, you should get the update automatically, unless you've got updates disabled or something.

I'm not connected to the internet at home. I can download the patch to a thumb drive and take it home to install it if that's possible.

As far as I'm aware, that isn't possible, but you should send a message to 2K Elizabeth and see if she's got some idea of how that could be done. Maybe take your system to a friend's house that has Internet and try? Good luck!
