ok this my sound like you know what I'm gonna say but it's not
This is only when your japan, greece, or you have a harbor. I was playing as the English, I was trying a knights rush, but it didn't go so well after the Spanish had pikemen very quick
Ok so I build a harbor in London at 15pop, and I notice one square is giving me 2 food and 2 science, I check and I'm not japan or Greece and there's no fish or dye. And every other square is 1food and 2 science, So I look right next to it and there's a river!!
It was like those waterfall kinda river squares! So I guess I'm the first to discover this. I should be sir profesor HGB!! Hahaha!

I was thinking a new thread in the right room could be better, however, I copy my post here:
Irrigation has 2 bonuses:
1)The first to research this get +1 pop in all cities
2)Who get this tech get +1 food in all food resources near rivers:
2b) You can also get +1 food in water tiles where the river finishes. This happens most of the times in lakes.
sorry HGB, you're still the student. Sir professor Morte posted this on 8-20-08.

Then I saw morte posted it, I said maybe he never knew this one, so I look and it says to bonuses, but then I look down and it says +1 food from water
I always feel I'm two steps behind from morte on this big monopoly board game!! Aahh!!!
Even posts, he has more than twice as me. One day I'll catch up

I'm a under disguised moderator don't tell anyone, why do you think i've been here for a long time, and I know a lot of this game, even when I bought it because of napolean the French leader!!
By the way have you seen him in history books where his young looking on this horse in a heroic position, as his face looks it was made by gods!!

I lived in France for a few years, I'm fluent, and I like the french culture, but Napolean is not French to me. He was a short hothead with ego issues. He's not even true french, he's from Corsica, which is kinda like saying you're American but you live in Guam or Puerto Rico ( USA commonwealths).

mmm....yeah morte told me he was from there too, but people know him as the French leader, since he abolished monarchy from France in the French revolution.
I wanted to go to France(live) and be fluent at French. Ever since I was a little kid watching those cartoons representing a parody of the French. But my dad hates the French =[
But seriously have you seen that painting of napolean on his horse with a shining glow!
I also like king louie's painting, where his posing as the monarch, with his wig, make-up, high heels, his hugmangus robe, and luxury around him

since he abolished monarchy from France in the French revolution.
actually, he overthrow a semi-democratic state, the french abolished monarchy during the reign of terror when then executed Louis and Marie Antoinette. After that there were several consititutional governments that were short lived during the reign of terror, where the lowest class of the tiers-états started killing off the other two (mainly the nobles) then they started killing off each other and any oppossed to the new reign of the Esemble National. They were in total disarray, so the only quasi-stable power, the military, launched a coup and placed Napolean in charge to deal with threats from Austria, Italy and other countries. Napolean took the power and ran with it, and basically invaded as much as he could, pillaged other countries, took their valuables and put them in the Louvre.
He did do a lot for government, infastructure and to an extent advancement in the arts, but basically he was a tyrant who ran through Europe and Northern Africa like a bull in a china shop.
wow, i'm not even intrested in him, i don't really feel strongly on the issue. sorry for typing this junk out, just bored since the wife is on the Wii playing Lego Star Wars.

you just wrote a whole paragraph about him, LOL
Have you seen queen Elizabeth, not the one in the game but the one that looks like an Indian, I mean I though all England rulers looked pale white, since you know more detailed history than me, can you tell me why she's so different in appearance?
