Let's start off by saying this game is hardly computer intensive. However when you reach 6-7 colonies the domestic advisor starts to take a full minute to open. The import/export list requires you to click 2 times to open the checkboxes for the right colony, and you sometimes need to open and close the domestic advisor to refresh the tables.
I like to have I/O 100 for tools, guns, horses and lumber in every city (this is because then I can muster 2 dragoons in every city as and when needed). This unfortunately means that the game automatically creates a trade route between every city for all these products (something like 150 routes to bog my machine down.)
Also, early in the game it is possible to set wagon trains to certain routes and ships to other routes. Once the domestic advisor starts to struggle this stops working altogether (the little plus and minus signs never show up no matter how long you wait or what you click on.) I would like to see an addon with the following changes if somebody would oblife me:
ADDON REQUEST DETAILS:
- 0% graduation increase (people don't become more stupid because you have more graduates.)
- 0% native training increase.
- User inputted trade routes, with a non-buggy interface for assigning INDIVIDUAL units not unit types.
- Max tax increases of 1%.
- Remove gold demand unless a tax increase is rejected.
- Immediate tax demand on 50% Liberty Bells of all current gold, rejection of which causes war with Europe with immediate effect.
- Due to graduation changes, professionals from Europe should have their costs increased. Suggestion - Marathon prices in standard game.
I have seen Snoopy/Dale unofficial patch but don't want to apply all those changes, just the ones above. This would increase 10 fold the replayability (seriously I like big colonial networks, and this game seems focussed on operating with 3-5 cities.)
