Do PS3 Voip Chat work for people?

Hi,
So a myself and a friend of mine are playing some private Civilisation matches from time to time (partly as its the only online play option that seems to work more often than not).

But we can't seem to get the any VoIP talk going. As far as I can tell it should 'just work', similar to how it works in Little Big Planet, but maybe I am missing something and there is a click to talk button somewhere?

Try to go to diplomacy. Or was it in the room? I know there should be a mute option in one of the two places, at least for people without the mic, like me. Maybe if you have a mic there is an option to enable it.

The mic works, but very poor, like a very very very old lady. But it's awesome anyway, adds an amazing dimplomacy dimension to the matches. Add MrLowcash for matches with mics.

If it doesn't work, it could be that you accidently pressed mute button on that player, or that your Bluetooth headset is connected to something else (or... god forbidd; out of battery), or not installed on your PS3 system. I havn't tried it for a while since not many uses it, maybe some system updates made it broken... I'll check about that and get back to you. Or just send an invite and go for a elemental scenario game with me and we can try it together.

lol I pretty sure I lost to you, I think your ranked pretty high too if I recall. Cant remember exactly which game it was, your the guy that likes zulu right? I think that might be right and you got a AI capital so fast and were so damn close to me that I was on the defensive immediately.

If we play more often I can hopefully ingrane a Big fast LOSS in your memory :D :D
