I just won WOI on revolutionary on 1 settlement challenge with George Washington. Standard map. Any advice to make it a little more challenging? I think I might try on a tiny map with aggressive AI before saying i have completely conquered the game. Which nation do you think is the worst in advantages? I will probably play whichever one is worst. I dont think it could get any harder then the last game though as france declared war on me shortly before I declared independence and that was pretty much the end of my attempt to defend myself by sea.

Had to rely on dragoon rushes to defeat England after that only two caravels survived the sea onslaught which i was going to try and use as decoys to see if the king of England would hunt them down and give me an extra turn before landing. If you want any tips on how to do this just ask. Destroyed the nearest french city out of sheer revenge in a short respite from fighting the king of england. Was a fun game.

Wow second game. Same conditions as above except tiny map, Always war settings and played as dutch. First turns were a little difficult as I was attacked by natives as soon as i landed. Set up a town with only one water tile. This entrance I blocked with caravel after caravel built in the city as a new strategy. The AI didn't pose any threat at all after that. The caravels held of the first wave of ships long enough for a veteran dragoons to take out all the enemy artillery. Most of the caravels went to the drydocks and a two more were produced in time to deploy against the third wave of the king of Netherlands assault.

This damaged their already wounded Man O Wars enough that they retreated to Europe without bombarding my city or delivering troops. Giving my troops time to repair. A new waves of Man O Wars blew away the remaining caravels and delivered a new wave of troops but by then it was much too late. Won in 1701 AD lost maybe 2 troops that i saw possibly a few soldiers were killed that i missed but I think probably only four units in total in the war of independence. I definately think I could of won at 1680 AD if I had of been braver. Still I don't feel much need to keep playing now I have pretty much hung the AI out to dry took less then an hour on standard time setting. I will read the thread if anyone wants any tips, though this is probably one of the easiest games i have played, fun though but very short lived
