If you had to choose....

and only could have one, would you choose Civ IV? or Civ IV Colonization? (and any attendant add-ons)

I have not played a Civ game other than Civ Rev on PS3. Which is a better choice and why?

Any reasons other than the add-ons?

I would say Civ4 Col, but only because I am a HUGE fan of Age of Discovery style games, such as Europa Universalis, the original Colonization, Imperialism II, etc. :)

Civ4 is brilliant, but I prefer the focused time limits of Col. :)

I would say Civ4 hands down. It has infinite replayablility and it is a much more refined and developed product. I can see the appeal for Col, but to me it has way too many repetitive tasks and micromanagement.

Not too mention there are already probably hundreds if not thousands of mods for civ4, probably only a few have came out for Col so far. Between vanilla civ4 and all its mods, it has something for everyone.
