Crashing

Game crashes with a windows error when I click on the handle in the Bathysphere leading from the Medical Pavillion. I've now spent 4 hours running through every suggested fix on the board to no avail. No other issues with the game whatsoever, this crash is constant and only at this point.

All divers updated; running a UK retail box and v1.1.

Dual Core CPU6700 2.66Ghz
8800GTS
4.00GB RAM
Vista Home Premium (32bit) on SP1

I'd be grateful for some help.

Does anyone know how often this board is reviewed? I'm a little concerned my only response has been deleted by a moderator and I'm still unable to play more than the first 2 levels of Bioshock.

i have the same basic problem....
I've tried all the fixes i could and nothing seems to work for me either. If someone could help us i would love them forever.....
mine crashes when i use the handle to go to fort frolic from any station
