No guns!!

Has anyone played through Bioshock with no guns? That is, using only the camera, grenade launcher, wrench, chem thrower, and plasmids? It seems like it might mix up the game, and I'm looking to see if anyone has had experience with such a game type. Is there any place in the game where a gun is mandatory?

Usually I only play with my lovely wrench and plasmids and switch to violent and loud guns only when I feel like it, can't think of any gun mandatory moment.

I have done the opposite, beat the game on brass balls with only the pistol.

I try to use all my weapons as much as I can. I hate carrying all this ammo and not using it. Especially when I try to pick up ammo and it won't allow me. It bugs me. Lol.

I've done that before. Sadly, I can only do it on Easy. Lol. Medium not so much and Hard, forget it. Sometimes I have to shoot my shotgun twice at a splicer before it dies! :eek:

You sir are one brave guy. Lol. I could never kill a Big Daddy with the pistol even if I'm using plasmids and special ammo. I'm not a skilled shooter as most of you are. Lol.

Hah, I'm not brave enough to go up against a big daddy with only a little pistol. That's a free trip to the vita-chamber for me.

I tried it and then it got really annoying cause I'm one of those FPS freaks who has to have every item in sight in his inventory ASAP and every gun reloaded a second after I'm finished shooting. I got to Neptunes Bounty before giving in to the urge to waste my ammo.
