Could someone help with graphics error, where trees appear purple?

That would be your graphics card. Had the same problem with an older graphics card when CIV IV came out. It probably doesn't fully support the game engine. Unlike SPORE which tells you HECK NO, it seems like Firaxis/2kgames allows you to play any way which gives you this result.
First try updating your driver set to see if that improves it. If not time to upgrade video card/system.

That would of been fine if he/she didn't post the link with the screenshot :p but I figured it needed an answer although the smart A in me almost did .. lol :D

Im currently running with Gforce 8800 GTS with newest drivers, never had problems with original CIV4 or its addons, so any more ideas with this one?
Its really so frustating after waiting this game for so many years... (yep, have played original Colonization sinse it came out)
Go into graphics options and set Anti-Aliasing to zero. :)
