Initially I found this when I tried 16 * AA, but after I reinstalled, It did the same with 0*AA but always at 1920 * 1200.
Currently running at 1440 * 900 0 AA without problems so far.
Sorry if you have already read it, but adding my specs.

I have Alcohol 120% installed on my system, (and frequently coursing through my bloodstream), although I have no emulated drives, the game will only start around 25% of the time without a securom error message asking me to insert an original game disk rather than a backup.
I am using the original disk each time this request comes through.
Punishing folk who buy the real product is insane. As much as it annoys me to keep the disk in the DVD drive, I do, and as a result I still get grief.
Please sort it out!

Minor bug / oversight of 2k during programming:
When a building / ship / etc completes but does not have all the resources (ie. not enough tools), it keeps it in the background so when you have enough tools, it prompts you if you want to complete it, but if you decide to spend cash to complete it, YOU HAVE TO RE-ADD IT to the front of the build queue and TO SPEND CASH TO COMPLETE IT.
When a building does not have enough tools to complete and it pops up saying it does not have enough tools (for example), there should either be a prompt to "ok, wait until later for enough tools" OR keep it in the queue so it does not need to be re-added. It would be ideal if it would throw it to be back of the queue AND prompt you, so if you say "wait", it's automatically still listed.

Education bug -
There is a bug where education starts to take a very long time.
When you have 1 town with a school/college/uni, it seems to work fine, or relatively fine. Units graduate in 9, 11 or so turns. I haven't figured out the formula yet.
When you start creating new schools/college/unis in other towns, things start to get screwed up. I am not positive this is the cause, I thought it might have something to do with the 50% education bonus founding father too. In any case, at this point, education becomes almost unusable. All the units start having very long graduation times, even when they don't, as soon as one unit in any town graduates, ALL students from ALL other towns get their graduation time upped a bit. So basically you can only graduate one unit at a time and it takes a pretty long time between each one. Longer than if you had just 1 town with a university.
PS I think I have seen the above building bug as well. I wasn't sure it was a bug or I was just doing things wrong.

I have to say i have the same problem as Dr.Rock. I have reported it to Securom as well, so it isn't an isolated problem, might be best to have a talk with securom about this..

SecureROM hates any virtual CD/DVD programs like alcohol. Sony obviously believes anyone with these types of software must be a pirate.

I ran into the Education Bug today.
I have a university in my main town and each time a colonist graduates it takes increasingly longer to graduate from University.
1 "student" is now up to 43 turns to graduate... is he just really slow ? :)
(4 Towns, 1 University, no other Education Buildings)

There are still a few language mistakes in the german version.
Does anyone know if there is an update to come?
For example:
Trade between towns by caravans (don't know, if that is the exact translation for the german word "planwagen") is tricky.
If you want to automatize the trade routes, the window with the list of possible routes is to small. Most of the entries are cut so that the target location can only be guessed.
Does the english version work in this point?

Is it normal for Founding Fathers to never re-offer themselves? It seems like it takes 2/3 of the strategy out of FF selection if saving up for a nice one means that as you build up your points again, you pass by Father after Father with no offers because you turned them down the first time.
This results, at least on all but the most brutal difficulties, in having a ridiculous amount of FF points sitting around in the late-game, with plenty of unclaimed FFs lying around that never re-offered as you passed by their requirement line a second time. If the CPU isn't going to claim them either way, and only one selection order allows you to have them all, where's the strategy?
