Huge isn't so huge?

Hey all,
I have to say I've tried to see how big a "huge map" was. And it... isn't that huge. I'm playing a Marathon level game and i've discovered the whole map in no time. (year 1525 in game)

I'm mostly concerned on the max width of the map, i've even tried to compare tiny/Huge and the difference isn't that noticable, unless i'm crazy or theres something wrong with my game. :(

Anyways,

anybody else find the huge maps to be rather "medium" sized?

I just played my first game last night and it was the default size, and it seemed fairly large to me.
