I think this is the problem why PS3 users never get a match. I'm assuming you need to have very high bandwidth to host a game right? Since gamespy or 2kgames does not have any servers hosting games we have no games?

I have been able host Head 2 Head games but I have only played a few free for all games when someone who has very high bandwidth is on. Is this the problem on PS3 online multiplayer? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Overall, this pretty much sums it up:

MP for PS3 is broken, and we can't do a darn thing about it.

I don't think bandwidth has anything to do with it.

Example: I have 2 PSN ID's. I made a 2nd because Gamespy corrupted my user name for my main account. Azzriel became azzriel@PS3_remote. So I made a new account. On my main account I am able to host any gametype I want... On the 2nd account I am only able to host Teamplay and can only join existing rooms for HTH or FFA. If none are available I get the "Failed to host" bulls**t. What makes this completely rediculous is the fact that both accounts are on the exact same PS3 using the exact same connection and settings. What possible explanation could there be for this????

The reason it is sooooo hard to find a ranked match on PS3 is because only some people are able to host (nothing to do with bandwidth) and so all of us that can't host have to sit there and keep trying to join a game untill someone comes along that can actually host the game. Once someone that can host starts a game it always fills up within a few minutes. There would be tons of games if we could all host.

Bandwidth seems to have NOTHING to do with it, as shown by my example above. I would love to hear a mod response to this...
