I want to play a demo version of this game since ive never played this game before, I recently bought a 360 mainly to play Bioshock and Halo 3, but now I find out its comming out for ps3.
Im not sure which version to get...


A limited edition version should come out also, I saw the game for pc and the cover looked amazing, I wish they had a limited edition version I would purchase the game in a heart beat.


I hope Bioshock 2 comes out for ps3 as well.

Ok no one blames you for loving Bioshock. Since you haven't played it yet IF you can hold on for 2 more months (:eek: ) the PS3 version will have more than any previous version. If not RUN don't walk to your nearest store & grab a copy of Bioshock for the 360.

Interestingly enough I noticed they actually still had a LE PC version at the local EB games. I almost wanted to buy it but seeing as I already own the regular version for the PC & the LE 360 version that would just be silly! Still, I wanted it! MUST HAVE BIOSHOCK WITH BIG DADDY STATUE EVEN THOUGH IT'S NOT RATIONAL....MUST HAVE....droooool

If you can't wait, and absolutely have to play it now... go to your nearest Best Buy, Gamestop, or whatever and purchase it new or used. :eek:

It's nothing like Halo3, so don't expect that type of gameplay.
I've played through it 3 times (1,1000 gs) and I'm seriously contemplating purchasing the PS3 for the new Survivor Challenge (and Trophies).

I want to play it so bad, but, I want to try it for the ps3, because Im not sure which version would be better, they had this holographic box for the pc version, I hope its ike that for the ps3 with like a poster or something.

No LE for the PS3 version coming.

As for version, even though the PS3 will have some extras, I recommend you go for whichever console you like the controller better. I personally like them both fine (I imagine most people don't have a real strong prefernece either way) and as such the PS3 version give you a little more. The 360 version, however, is probably cheaper so you could go for that.

I want a demo also, but only so I can feel BioShock on the PS3 sooner than October 21st :D

Oh, and I have a feeling there will be a demo. Also, I suggest you get the PS3 version. IMO, the PS3 is better, and the PS3 version will have exclusive content. However, you will have to dish out a little extra cash to get it. That's just my opinion, however.

Money isn't an issue with me, I have a job haha

agreed. puting out a demo would definitely (in my opinion) effect how the game sells for the better. plus, i really want to play bioshock already.

We probably will get a demo but it has to go through sony submission so I doubt it'll be available until post release

I'd imagine a demo is coming. It will only help sales since the game is good (although people know that for sure this time around before it comes out whereas last time people may have been apprehensive).

Since BioShock has been heavily covered by both the press and the public (tons of Youtube videos), anyone who wants to know what its like already has literally hundreds of options. The only benefit I can see from a demo is to show the difference between existing versions and the PS3 version for those who already own the game and are thinking about purchasing it again. And I'm not sure how big that particular demographic is.

Japester you are right, there is a lot of video, but for know if a game is good or not the ppl need to play by her self :D
I think that know the difference between the 360 version and the PS3 version is good for who want to buy the game, specially for the performance of the PS3 version.
I think that some people know that the Unreal Engine 3 suck with the PS3 and we don't want to have another "The Darkness" with more aliasing and much framerate drop, so what do i mean is that playing a demo of the PS3 versione may help us to choose wich versione buy :D

Thanks for the URL. You're right when you say that if a PS3-owner want to know what the game is like, he has many options to do that. But what is the reason of a demo? Convince people who want to buy the game? You mentioned that the only benefit of this demo would be to show the difference between existing versions and the PS3 version for those who already own the game and are thinking about purchasing it again. Than it's better for 2K that they develop a demo, not? I played the game on the 360, but I have a PS3. I know that if I play the demo, and it's good - and probably it will be - that I will buy the game for sure. And there a lot of people who are convinced after playing a demo. What will they lose? What will they get? Compare these two things and you will see that it's better that they develop the demo for the PlayStation 3. :)

Lots of people seem to be mising that there will be lots of people who have never heard of Bioshock, or have no idea what it's like. If a demo just pops up in the Store one Thursday, they'll download it and have a go and may well then decide to buy it when it's released.

Its just the matter of if they are going to, I think its always a good buisness move to give people a sample of the product so they will be more likely to consider buying it. It worked wonders on the Xbox live store I think it would be as big a success on the PS Network.

PSN already has demos, albeit less than xbox live, but it won't be a new thing. In reply to a previous post about dualshock, it will be exactly the same as the Xbox version, except weaker as the dualshock is not very strong which im disappointed with seen as the deep big daddy rumbling was one of my favourite things about the game...
