Hey guys,

One thing that I found was conspicuously missing from the 360 version of Bioshock was a New Game+ that would allow you to start a new game with your exact weapons/plasmids/tonics from a previous game. Of course you would want to disable achievements on these games, but it would be a lot of fun to play around with some of the plasmids and weapons that you normally don't get until late in the game all the way through and also use your Adam to buy the stuff that you didn't get the first time around.

If you guys could implement such a feature, it would be awesome!

Wouldn't that sort of ruin a great story?

We did prototype a New Game+ feature for BioShock PS3, but there were some challenges that arose from having all the weapons and plasmids unlocked from the start, so won't be shipping with it.

Too bad!:(
I thought that would've been fun to do as well!

Makes sense. I'm not even sure how you'd go about starting a new game with all the plasmids...I guess when you get the first plasmid it could unlock all your old ones but then it'd be too easy to get the brass balls achievement

The bolded part of your quote, however, pique's my interest (and my conspiracy side). I know it's foolish to think so, but do you have any plans for releasing the feature later down the road?

I really hope that you consider releasing it as DLC because it was something i really wanted to see in the 360 version. You just have so little time to play with some of the tonics/plasmids that you get in Apollo Square/Point Prometheus and I have always wondered what earlier stages be like with all of your tools available to you.

Of course, as I mentioned such a feature would only be available after you beat the game the first time and would just be for fun and trophies would have to be disabled during New Game+ runs.

Isnt the WHOLE point of newgame+ to have it more tilted in your favor aswell as exploring the game using different plasmids? But then again I guess survivor mode will suffice I like the idea of that.

Problem with that is, you'd have no reason to harvest/rescue Little sisters if you already had all the good plasmids/tonics in your arsonal, except for the sport of it. :o

I'm liking that idea as well. Any idea if maybe someday possibly...?

I think it would definitely be an incentive to play through the game numerous times for those who complained about its finality. I can understand some complications with including this idea, but I'm fairly certain it wouldn't be detrimental to the game's story in any significant way, considering you would have had to play through the game at least once in order to get all of the weapons and plasmids to be able to start a file with all of them at your disposal from the beginning.

Resident Evil 4 did it. BioShock could do it better.
