Liz and the PS3 BioShock team!! I absolutely LOVE the new PS3 Theme that went live with todays North American PSN Store Update.

Questions:

1) Who created this wonderful theme?

2) Will we see more themes like this as we crawl toward release?

3) Any chance of making a similar theme compatible for PSP's?

I always love when devs take the extra time to tie-in the XMB icons to fit with the theme. Sometimes it works, while others aren't so succefful. I think everything here is really tuned, especially the Little Sister representing the Friends List!!

Gotta agree with dude above. I've downloaded a few themes and didn't much care for them but this one rocks. I'll also be messing with making a custom theme. And btw thanks for making it free. I paid for the other two on xbox live.

Man, I need to get my PS3 back so I can download this theme! That's the one really nice thing about the PSN - the free stuff :D

On another note. Some people like themes. Alright. Its cool that a person who likes BioShock appreciates getting a free theme rather than spending money for it. I got a free them from 2K Elizabeth and I am very greatfull for it.

Yeah...not really sure why you felt it necessary to post the above. I praised the EXTRA work the team is doing for the PS3 release and I have a problem? It's simply nice to see the team feels the fanbase is AT LEAST equal to that of the original releases 360/PC destinations by offering external goodies to drum up excitement for the October release.

Darn tootin'! It looks great and I'm very happy with it. I will never understand people that complain about free stuff.

Haha. I'm thinking that maybe Mr.Bubs doesn't have English as his first language. Perhaps he confused "what's your problem?" with "what's the big deal?". Go easy on him, he seems to be getting a lot of stick.

Just to be clear, are we talking about the weird BioShock theme with all the gears and a LS in a gondola-type-thing? To be perfectly honest, I strongly disliked it; WAY too much green and yellow for my taste, and it just didn't capture the feeling of Rapture for me.

It pains me to admit this, but the theme hurts my eyes a little. I hope they do a simpler theme, maybe just a Big Daddy and a Little Sister.

1. I masterminded the theme, had a designer actually create the stuff for me, and Dawn (my marketing partner in crime) was the brain who actually put the PS3 theme together and made it work.

2. please enter the theme contest. i'm looking for my next awesome theme from you guys!

3. since BioShock's not for the PSP, i doubt it.

well god of war: chains of olympus is a PSP exclusive and the PS3 got a theme of it lol

Man I love the PS3 theme for it all the icons are amazing and I love the fact that the background changes everytime you log on. :D

I like that too!
As with the 360 you have 4 different Blades with four possible images.
I was expecting it just to be one image.

Woooooooo, thanks Elizabeth! You did a bangup job on the first theme and I cannot wait to see what our forum members have in store for this contest. While I have a degree in Art/Design, my 2 year old rarely leaves me enough time to really sit in front of my PC and plug away at Illustrator and such...

*sigh*

Still, I'm QUITE excited to see what everyone submits. Oh, and those possible perks...the shirts, posters, and lithos...EXACTLY what I was hoping for. Now I hope I can nab one or two of those lithos specifically... *watches*
