Well, hi everyone, im just fresh to this forum as u can see in my profile and im an honored owner of a ps3 and respect the xbox 360 wich is also a great system and very good. So i posted this thread because i ABSOLUTELY love this game though it will only come out for ps3 in october and i saw every possible existant video on youtube of this game, and here's my big question:
2k members please answer. XBOX360 owners had the opportunity to get a SE with a big daddy (wich BTW is my most favourite character in the game), and i actually saw that SE here in portugal but unfortunetly at that time i was 11 or somethin and i didnt knew that game and i couldnt possibly get that. So here's the issue, though u guys at 2k are working desperatly hard to get bioshock to ps3 ( wich i thank u from my heart ), WHY WHY just WHYYY can't we get a SE with a big daddy??? I mean, i know it wasnt supposed to be on ps3 but 1 year later it will come and i think we have as much right has the other SE proud owners to get one. if the ps3 owners cant get one, what thing could possibly substitute that??? If not that u could try like improve the game or the graphics... PLZZZ answer:o

well be happy you got to play it at all. some of us weren't lucky enough to have an xbox 360 that didn't get the 3 red lights. that's what happened to me so i bought a ps3 and it's 10x better in my opinion

sadly I know we have to accept it...it just seemed like a metal case version makes a lot of sense with little additional cost for 2K & would have made PS3 owners especially happy since it's something that the NA 360 owners didn't get.

Honestly even if i didnt have a 360, i can still upgrade my PC and play it. And when my 360 got the RROD it was fixed in one week, and i have no regrets in keeping it becuse i got to play bioshock so :p

If they do come out with a Limited Edition,I hope they make the Big daddys alot more durable because I had heard of people getting legless BD's and ones in pieces. Also I wonder if they could have different figurines in the LEs like a splicer or Andrew Ryan that be cool/:cool:

if you made a petition you've be disappointed. the game comes out in mere months. i'm not a miracle worker! even if tomorrow you delivered me 20,000 willing signatures i can't manufacture those LEs fast enough. it takes a lot of time for me and my team to design and create those things! even the 360/PC one was really close to the wire.

If I was in 2K's marketing, I would push back the release to create the limited edition. IMO, it would create more of a buzz for the fans, and edger PS3 owns who are looking forward to getting a game that was once only x360 eclusive. JMO

Sorry, I don't want to make this into a console debate, but anyone who believes that the PS3 is superior the the 360 is either a fool, or is trying to justify their poorly-advised purchase. This is simply a fact. And I own all 3 consoles.:)

Sony just got owned at E3 - FFXIII on 360! One of the only titles which may have saved the PS3 from total obscurity - gone. It is, incase you've been hiding under an enormous rock, the general consensus of the gaming industry, gamers and journalists, that the 360 trumps the PS3 in every department. Online support - we may have to pay a small fee (£3 per month), but we get what we pay for. Well known ACTIVE communities, cross-game chat, and Halo 3 still draws in the players, even a year after release. There were over 2 million games played in the last 24 hours. But most of all - exclusive titles. As I said, a console is nothing without games, and the PS3 has none. Granted, I'll give you MGS4 is a fantastic game, but it's the only one worthy of mention, now that FFXIII has gone cross-platform. How do; Fable 2, Gears of War/2, Halo 3, Halo Wars, PGR, Dead Rising/2 Forza, Mass Effect, EXCLUSIVE GTA IV content, Left4Dead, and Too Human sound? Too bad none of them are on the PS3. I have both consoles, they are both great..

I love my PS3 for Blu-Ray, great games like MGS4, Uncharted, Easy to Upgrade Hard Drive and Media connections.

I love my Xbox for awesome games like Bioshock (soon on both), The Orange Box and Xbox Live!


Faults yes they both have some the XBOX needs to stop charging from things like Music Videos, and Themes. ESPECIALLY since you need to pay for the service.

PS3 needs to get Online Multiplayer to work.



Oh and seriously stating you don't want to start a console war and then being and Xbox fanboy is somewhat counter productive.

I'm a PS3 owner, I'll get that in first so my opinion is likely to be a little biased but clearly Microsoft are starting to annoy developers in what's becoming a major feature: User Generated Content. UT3 is a perfect example. The PS3 version supports user created mods because PSN is a much more open system. Microsoft severely limit what developers can do and are often hypocritical of themselves, stopping one game developer doing something UGC related but then out comes Halo 3 with loads of User Creation functions. Themes are another thing, Microsoft charge you for themes which are essentially 4 wallpapers, nothing else changes really but on the PS3 the themes can completely change the look of the XMB and what's more anyone can make them and share them using Sony's own tools which they've given us. And all of this is free for us, wheras on XBL you're paying for the privelige of having less freedom.

ummm no, play any major game on both consoles, the games are almost always identical. The PS3 is a lot more reliable hardware wise, has free online play, a web browser, it's quieter, etc etc. And I own all 3 consoles as well.

first of all, i couldn't care less about what some people on a forum think of me. maybe you're the type of person who cares about what people think of him, but i'm just not that superficial. and don't be mad, that's just how you are.

2nd, Resistance 1 nad 2, Uncharted, Warhawk, Motorstorm 1 and 2, final fantasy versus XIII, god of war 3, gran turismo series, heavy rain, infamous, killzone 2, little big planet, ratchet and clank, and now bioshock with downloadable content that xbox can't touch :p

oh and congradulations on microsoft's e3 conference. they're 2 biggest anouncements were 1). avatars that are clear rip offs of miis, and 2). final fantasy XIII. Hooray! the biggest surprise at microsoft's e3 conference was that xbox was getting a multi platform game that will inevitably have to be shipped on 4 discs.
oh and gta IV really sucked anyway so don't use that in an argument

It doesn't matter about Final Fantasy, the game is most popular in Japan and it's remaning a PS3 exclusive there! I dread to think of the compression that is going to have to be used on the 360 version and even with that, I can see it being multiple discs.

If the 360 trumps the PS3 in every respect then why is it outselling the 360 consistantly despite the 360 dropping in price on a regular basis? Soon you will have to give them away :p Seriously though, developers are already starting to see the advantages of having blu-ray. Games like GTA are already filling discs and are seriously questioning what Microsoft are going to do about it.

Whilst PSN is not yet what Live is, it's certainly hot on it's heals! With firmware updates to the machine itself it has come along way since launch. With games such as littlebigplanet where user generated content is going to be huge and possible on PSN but not on the closed nature of Live.

Yes Microsoft will always be able to secure the exclusives as they just pop out the cheque book most third party developers cannot afford to be exclusive to one platform anymore. More and more the PS3 is becoming the lead platform to develop on and developers are getting to grips with what the PS3 is capable of. Naughty dog claims to be using 35% of the PS3's power, have you seen unchartered? If that's 35% I would LOVE to see what they can come up with.

You say you're not a fanboy but you clearly are. Thats not a bad thing, after all, I love the PS3 & Sony and what they stand for. I can admit that Live has some better features but they will eventually come to the PS3 and my patience will be rewarded.

Hm I think its selling 6 million more because everybody has to buy another one after their first one breaks in a pathetic attempt at thinking "Oh that one was a bad one" Im not saying the Xbox is a stupid console im just saying that from what ive read (Including this forum) the Xbox 360 is prone to harware failure,Ive seen posts from people on their 4TH Xbox and it just seems that after the second you'd get the picture.
