PS3 controller on PC!? [Archive]

hello 2K Team!

first wanted to say thanks for all your work and the great Bishock game!!

But i got two question, it would be great if u can answer them

1. When will the PC patch for Bioshoch V 1.20 released!?

2. Will there be the possibility to play with the PS3 controller after the patch(PC)!? That would be great because i like to play with controllers but dont want to buy a XBOX controller. And i got a PS3, if i had known that Bioshock will come to PS3 i wouldnt have baught the PC version but now i got it and dont want to sell it and buy a new one for much more money, about 70€. id loose money......

One last question, should i really sell the pc Version and buy the PS3 version!? Is it so much better!? Well i got some crash by vending machines and so on but the patch 1.20 will remove it right!?....

1.20 patch for bioshock...what? I thought 1.1 is the last one they are gonna do.

i still get crashes by using some machines... sometimes... And really just if i buy some Plasmids or if i produce new weapons and stuff and so on! Always by using this machines.....

Hoped the patch will fix it :(

I agree that this patch will help the crashes but I dont think that you sould be able to connect your PS3 controller to your PC. If I was you I would go ahead and buy a 360 controller. Because if another game comes out for the 360 and not PS3 you could get the game for PC and still use your 360 controller.

I like that idea I think it could work all you would need is a usb cable and maybe Sony could release a program that lets you modify the controls to be used not only in Bioshock but other games too!

You can use almost any gamepad that connects to the PC in Bioshock. If there's a way to connect your ps3 controller to the PC, power to you. If not, other gamepads for the PC do work, just have to use a program like Xpadder (my favorite) and bind mouse actions and keyboard actions to it.

Of course you wouldn't have rumble/force feedback support, but it's a start.;)

P.S. I'm not 100% sure if every gamepad will work with those applications, but I'm sure lots of them do.

Its very easy, you download this thing first look it up on youtube ;)

I use it to play SONIC DX pc version
