How exactly do I get rated higher at the end of the Game (Winston Churchill level, Henry VIII level...etc). I've played at least 7 times now (on Cheiftan, Warlord and King) and each time I'm placed in the middle. Help.

You seem to be pretty knowledgeable. Does playing on a higher difficulty increase your score?

i am not sure because 2K (in thier inifnite wisdom) does not show you your score nor do they show you how to calculate your score.

anyway... i feel that playing on higher difficulties adds a multiplier on to your score. EX. king-Your score*1
emperor- your score*1.5
Diety-your score*2
this is just from what i have seen in my personal experiences.

I had the same experience until I got two cities up to 31 pop, 200 or better production and several GP’s, Wonders, only two other civs remaining. It could be caused by a well rounded civ.

Time is deifnitely not one of the factors when it comes to end-game rating. In one game I was playing, I had the opportunity to basically pick how I'd win; so I saved my game, built the UN around 1950, and was middle of the pack for the end-game rating. I then reloaded the same game, researched everything, built every piece of the space ship, and switched every city to gold in order to get to 20K and low and behold, Churchhill. It's annoying really, since those last 25 turns can be excruiciatingly long with everyone and their momma attacking you.

Annoying but makes sense! =D After all if you can continue to grow greater and greater, getting everything and just be amazing even when you're attacked from all sides that says something about the power of your nation and your leadership! xD Taking the easy way out is hardly a good leadership quality in civ apparently XP
