Title says it all^^^..., diverse the diffrent enimies because really there aren't that many diffrent type of splicers. Oh and since you have time can you please change the skin for the main characters (Andrew Ryan, Tennenbaum, exct..) because you can't tell the diffrence between them and the Splicers. Really those are minor stuff but IMO that'll make the game 5X better!:D ....//

Yeah, I agree. Or, make some different clothes for th splicers, rags, pyjamas, etc. Or make it downloadable content.

I don't think this version is going to be that extensively redone. It's basically just a port with updated visuals and some new content, but I don't think it's going to be that big of a revision.

And they're already finishing up the PS version. They're not going to take any advice at this stage.

Well I don't think these additions really qualify to call it just a port.....
-Challange Rooms (basically new mini-lvls. with various challanges)
-New Difficulity Mode (Survivor Mode)
-New Opening Video (I guess it's going to play during installation)
-Trophie Support (this is biggie for us PS3 owners or at least to me anyways)
-The previous DLC for the 360 but already in the game (Sonic Boom plasmid + other tonics, turing the Vita Chambers off, and Brass Balls Achievment)
-Improved Visuals and possibley Home Support
Plus and interveiw with 2K Games senior producer Melissa Miller said.....
At E3 we just wanted to announce that they exist, because we are doing some other unique stuff for the PS3 version that will be on the disc.
Here's the link: http://www.videogamer.com/ps3/bioshock/preview-1103.html
So that's plus all the confirmed updates, plus MORE and that more could be new Splicers..^^^......//

What you're missing is that other than the new difficulty setting, everything you described is outside the main game (or is already contained in other versions: trophies=achievements, existing patch content). So the main game is a port with visuals tweaked for the PS3. The movie during the loading screen and Challenge Rooms are tacked on.
So you're both kind of right. Yes, there will be more than "just a port" of the game, but suggesting new Splicer models probably won't happen because the actual game is primarily "just a port". Added content will likely use the same models as the main game, just in new environments.
But only 2K can say for sure. And we'll all know anyway when the game ships. ;)

Yeah but there part of the complete Bioshock package. It may be just a port, but it's a port with everything I mentioned above. Either way it's a plus for us PS3 fans....//

I think we all tend to dream of this ultra refurbished version but they only have so much time and money. Besides we need them to finish it up so they can start working on Bioshock 2.

Yeah but how hard is it to make 2 diffrent types of Splicer modes, and changing the faces of the main characters? I mean heard in an interveiw with a 2K Devolper that there near completing the challange rooms, and if that's the case then they must be doing somthing else since the game isn't due out for another 3-4 months.....//

But whenever you change or add something you also have to rerun all the bug tests to make sure nothing catastrophic happens. They might leave it be just so they don't have to spend too much time on bug hunts for relatively minor additions.

Again they have 3 moths till it's release I'm sure in that time-span they can as you say "bug hunt"...//

The Playstation Three version of BioShock is not a port. A port is the exact same game transferred to another platform. I would consider it as a Special Edition of BioShock even though it is not being labeled as such. But yes, some new Aggressor skins would be lovely. From what I've learned about the virtual game industry is that a lot could be achieved in just three short months. And if it was truly a port, don't you think they would have released the PS3 version months ago? No, they had to go and renovate everything and put in some special features which makes it more than a simple port.
Agreed?

Just wanted to point out, Andrew Ryan DOES have his own skin, but just him and Sander Cohen.

Nope, someone ghosted to him and posted a picture. I'll see if I can dig it up.
Found it. It was originally posted by CherryIcee over on the screenshot/video thread.

I'm not sure. I think it's that religious fisherman face slightly altered, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't have his own custom skin.
To stay on topic, I'm willing to bet there won't be any added splicers in the PS3 version.

As I said before, I reckon there won't be any splicer models introduced, but maybe some new clothes for the PS3, or maybe include them as downloadable content. 2K said it was a port, not an expansion, so the PS3 iwners should be satisfied they are getting such a great game. :D

If you could lose millions because of shody gameplay due to bugs that slipped through the qa process just to add a minor touch like this would you do it?

But then again, if you could earn millions because of new content such as splicer skins - would you do it? And besides, it's nothing a patch can't fix.

I doubt that new skins would be the deciding factor in the game making millions. Its not like you're going to see a bunch of people sitting on the fence and then you announce new splicers and that would push them over the edge.

I agree. Also, to add on to what I posted before, I'm pretty sure the first Houdini has his own skin. Though it baffles me as to why this splicer, not even a real character, has his own skin while major characters like Langford and Tenenbaum all look exactly alike.

It was like that probably to chop down on developement time. Besides, you never really talk face to face with the other characters.
