Wheter my art is used again or not, I'm still very interested. I submit to 2K that they have another art contest. LOL. I would love to take another crack at the wonderful world of rapture and I'm sure many other fans would too. But thats probably just dreaming. Would like to see some sort of L.E. though. My vote is of course them reusing my art but I'll be happy with one of any kind. :)

You'd be correct with the "bro" part. Glad you liked the design. I still can't believe they picked it. I didn't get a steelbook version cause I think they only came out in the PAL regions and I don't think they used my design so its okay. I wish it was a steelbook here in the states but I'm still really happy with how it came out. Again props to 2k and Elizabeth for being such great people. He your right - we PS3 Players are no collectors. Same thing on Alone in the Dark - game is out months later - Limited Edition and Collectors Editions on all Systems - but not on PS3.

i'm not sure if you all were around when the BioShock LE was born, but it actually came out of a fan petition that i got a TON of feedback from, which gave me the power to get the LE together.

this doesn't mean you guys should run out and make a petition (please don't!) because making LEs takes a lot of time, and there is no human way this girl and her department, no matter how awesome, can manufacture an LE in time for the release date.

and the goodies i'm planning i will be able to ship out all over the world, no restrictions, and they are going to be stuff other than tee shirts (although i am making that winning tee shirt!) i'm not sure what else i'll do with the goodies, we'll have to see. i haven't made up my mind yet!

Have a love/hate with this reply Elizabeth but it makes perfect sense. I have to say, you went above and beyond with all of this on the last run and we all appreciate it...heck, you personally handled my replacement request and even offered some extra goodies which was COMPLETELY unnecessary.

That said, I hope the goodies aren't based on post counts because I'm greatly lacking in that department. The rigours of the working world and parenthood (I have a 2-year old), keep me away from these boards longer than I'd like.

Could you imagine...I mean, how awesome would it be to SEE the demand is as high for this release as it was when first announced for the 360. Wouldn't that just chap a few hides?

I loved it on 360, but I'm not buying this on PS3 just because I think it will be better. Sure, the advent of new areas and Challenge Rooms is a fantastic incentive to once again dive into Rapture...but I have to say, it's my love of the setting...it's flawless environments and a sense of awe as if this place really could exist that has me returning for, not only additional playthroughs...but a second purchase as well!

If there was going to be a limited edition there still would be the standard edition so the extra cost is never forced on you. Some of us really enjoy the extras so if you think they are "dumb" then buy the se.

I like the way you think! But I'd be buying the PS3 version even if I had never stumbled into the Cult of Rapture. The option to get some new goodies (and do a second play through on the Dual Shock, which I also like) is bonus enough. Although Home integration would really be a sweet bonus...

I really hope there's enough to go around this time, or at the very least, reprint the Big Daddy figure (a Little Sister and other notables from the franchise can make their appearance as part of a figure set) and sell it separately for fans of the series.

As you can see I'm new here, so first things first, hello all.

I have just read this, and would be lying if I said that I was not disappointed. I'm a real stickler for collectors items, and was very much looking forward to a collectors edition along the lines of the 360 release.

I have just read that the folks hear at 2K will be kindly doing some sort of promotion, offering collectors merchandise, and what ever it turns out to be, I would love to get my hands on it.

But I am concerned that this promotional merchandise, or "goodies" as 2K Elizabeth put it, will be given away based on a loyalty scheme, I.E. the number of post's one has to his/her credit. As you can see I only have one so far, so that would put me out of the running, but I don't want to have to start writing meaningless posts just to get my post count up to stand a chance of getting hold of some of these "limited edition goodies".

I really hope it isn't based on the number of post's because I can see a real problem with "spam" posting if that is the case.

I too would love to see a LE or a CE for the Ps3 but seems 2k Liz as stated already that it's not gonna happen and probably she'll be getting some sweets for the ps3 fanbase here later on,if it's a matter of loyalty to this community I have no Idea,but it would be kind of "bad" that only the people with a lot of posts or etc.. gets the goodies.Actually I bet most of the ps3 players have just recently signed here,myself included.
