Okay this is another question about the recentley announced "challange rooms". From what I hear the mode will be accesible from the main-menue. But does that mean when we enter Fort Frolic we can't enter the challange level from there? So does that mean the challange levels aren't really part of the world?

From what I understand they are not a part of the normal gameworld you can only acces them through the main menu.

Ah I see well it doesn't really matter to me, just was curious. But do you have to complete the game to access those challange rooms, or say if you beat the Fort Frolic level the Carnival Room gets unlocked...//

I'm not sure if 2K Liz has confirmed yet, but I read on a few other sites that the challenge rooms are completely separate from and in no way interact with or affect the main story. They are basically minigames. For example, one will task you with starting up a ferris wheel (using electricity), but without using the Electrobolt Plasmid. The atmosphere should be similar to the main game, but not part of the main game.

We should get full details soon on this site.

Just speculating, but since it was mentioned that one challenge involves Cohen trapping a Little Sister on a Ferris Wheel, I would assume that you can access them before, during, and after the story. Because as you know, things can happen and such that would make the challenge impossible. Like if you kill Cohen, so you would have to have access to the Challenges before you kill him...

Also and here's the thing, if you play them through the main-menu and you defeat the challange and get the Little Sister Adam where does that Adam go? So that's why I think it should be playable in the world....as apposed to the whole main-menu thing...//

that wont be as fun as if it would be in the main game but at least its there

But again then the reports are wrong^^. If you kill Sander Cohen and then get to see him put a little sister atop of a fariss wheel, and you already killed him then it wouldn't make sence. Also when you defeat the puzzel and get to the little sister and decide to rescue or harvest where would your adam go? So it doesn't really make sence, I'll first believe when 2K Liz confirms, because remember all the sites reporting the PS3 content will be available for Xbox 360 shortey after it's release? Well we saw how that turned out...//

they were accessible as you walked through the game. The challenges could be a whole separate thing but I just want to see how they connect with Rapture. Where in the city are they located? That kinda stuff.

But, it makes sense still if you kill him first, because you do know that there was a possibility of an alternate story with Cohen alive. And I highly doubt you will need to harvest or rescue, and surely you won't gain ADAM. Why would you harvest or rescue if the things that are usable in the challenge are limited? If you bought a plasmid in the Carnival, then went to a challenge where you aren't allowed to use it, then there would have been no point in the purchase.

I am sure they will provide Jack with what he needs for the challenge he enters. And there shouldn't be a need to harvest, rescue, or collect ADAM. Now ammo, first aid kits, and EVE may be another story in the Challenge zone.

Well according to Spike AND other reports once you bring the Little Sister down from the Fariss Wheel you get to harvest or rescue for there ADAM. I mean why would I even do the challange if I know when I complete the challange all I get will be a dinky little trophy? Heck if that's the case why even put a little sister there? Why not a new plasmid or a new weapon? I thought the whole goal was to solve how to bring a stuck little sister on a fariss wheel and that are prize for solving the puzzle would be her ADAM. Anyway hopefully a 2K memeber will be able to answer my question....//

Ahhh, didn't catch the reports of Harvest and Rescue. But they mentioned in the Farris wheel challenge that you can't use Electro Bolt, which made me curious as to why you would need ADAM if you may not even be allowed to use them.

See there's where the problem lies. Where would our obtained ADAM go when we complete the challange? That's what lead me to believe that you'll be able to play the challange rooms in game, and once completed you'll be able to access them in the menu for trophies and such.....

For a challange? But in other reports they say you can still use other powers like telekenisis to compete in the carnival games, so you'll still be able to use your adam just not electro bolt........//

I thought it meant they would sort of choose which you can't use when you enter the challenge. Each specific challenge that is...

It would be awesome if you could start a game with a bit of extra Adam from performing the challenges. Maybe on an achievments locked game just for a bit of fun.

Sort of like how you can get a head start on cash in Fable 2 by playing the pub arcade games? Yeah if it transfers to the story mode, that would be cool, but to easy I think.

Exactly. I think that would be fantastic stuff for a clear game save to take into the next game.
