Just wondering some of your guy's opinions on this. First of, I've done well with the civ before(lower difficulty). but when I think about it I think the Mongol's can put you at a disadvantage. Basically, you should be going after barbs early in game. Because you never know what your going to get. Once you capture them, you get a city. what if the city is surrounded by desert?? I've got some pretty crappy cities before. So really, you compromise your boost in getting gold and experience with warriors to later attack a civ in early game. your basically taking a gamble on landing good cities.
