Is anyone out there? (Ps3)

I've been trying to get a game going and I'm having difficulty finding players.

Yesterday there seemed to be an abundance... is it something to do with the update?

i made a thread of this , exactly the same for me , i had no problem finding players the other day but today there was no one , its because of this version patch or something 1.0 , that i had to download or it wouldent let me play the game , after that i noticed a new option in the MM that wasent there before , senario in the MM

this is to Mrlav....I added you on my friends and saw you invited me to a game a few times...but when you did I was in the middle of making and eating dinner....so I turned off the game, so you didn't think I was beign a jerk. Sorry bout that and hopefully we can get a game going another time

Just an update...

Finally got a game going after several late night attempts. First, mrlav was host and invited me in. The room filled up (Player Match, FFA) but after failing to start upon being filled, a few began to leave. Next, deathsknight started a match, same type, and invited me in. This one too filled: mrlav, deathsknight, sieferoth and myself; and we finally got a game going! Unfortunately mrlav left soon after launch, but the rest of us continued on for the next couple hours. But finally the early morning caught up with us and everyone dropped :(

Great game, but I just wished we could've played it out; I was doing rather well :)

So if this proves anything, it is that it can work; might just have to manually invite players at this point, however.

I have only been able to play one MM game since i dowloaded the patch 1.10 , it was an invite from Eusic, i played the rest of the game with the AI as the others including Eusic left the game

I love playing this multiplayer, but I have only been connected to 1 game...and just my luck my power went out half way through. Add me to friends and message me...I work weird hours, but late nights usually work best.

Well, I finally got somethings sorted out. Although, (thanks to some friends on the list) I tried to connect to games then it said failed to join the game.

Yeah I also had the problem of since the patch not being able to find anyone on ranked multiplayer. Judging by the amount of posts im guessing that eventually there will be plenty of people to play with.

Also I was able to find some one in the demo to play, some what strange that seems to be working...

Yeah, I'm having the same problem. The demo is still matching with players, but the full version PS3 1.10 patch isn't finding anyone or listing any lobbies. I really hope this gets fixed soon.

As much as I love Civ 4, it'd be a shame to have to go back to that for multiplayer when I specifically bought this version of Civ just for an easy and populated multiplayer.

The whole online thing is pretty messed up and the leaderboards far from make sense.

Press R2 when you look at the top 10 and any rank on the leadboards to check peoples ratings. Youll see what I mean! (it might be R1 you need to press)

hey guys,

we are still looking into all multiplayer issues, but i have another troubleshooting top for those having problems.

if you are having trouble finding people with games, make sure you have 1.10. if you haven't patched the game, you will only be able to play with people who have not patched. and if you HAVE patched, you will only be able to play with those who also have patched.

this is dividing up our pool of match making, and is one of the problems!
